Going to RPR April 28 - May 1 2005. I can get a standard room booking with orangevacations for 195 per night, or a king suite booking with Loews for 234 per night (platinum member). The difference for three nights turns out to be about 100 bucks.

Is it worth it to go with the suite? It will just be my husband and I, so we don't need the room, but it would be nice to have it. Anyone stayed in a king suite that would like to give input? Are they located all over the hotel or are they in certain locations? I have already booked with Loews, but I can cancel within five days with no penalty. THanks for any advice!

The King Suites are all located near the elevators. They are the first rooms you pass when exiting the elevator. We stayed in one at Christmas and it was nice. You have two separate rooms. One has a couch, chairs, coffee table, desk, armoire with TV. The other has the king bed, small table, large lounge type chair, and I think the TV was sitting on the dresser. Each room has it's own closet. It was nice and of course much larger than a standard room. Would I pay extra for it? I am not sure. It depends on how much time you want to spend in there.

We've stayed in a King Suite twice. It is exactly as described by "themepark". It is a nice room and I think worth a $100 difference for three nights. We like having a living room with a sofa. Nice for relaxing and watching a little tv.

I would do it for a hundred bucks.

I agree. The extra room for three nights is definitely worth the $100. If you want even more for your money request one with a pool view on an upper floor. I recommend 3400,3500, or 3600.

We stayed in 3400 and had an excellent view of the pool and I even sat in the room on a sick day and watched the torch lighting and fire twirlers. It was the only fun I had that day. :flower:

Thanks everyone- I think I'll stick with the suite. The difference is actually $110 but who's counting! :cool1:

I would go for it! The extra space is so nice compared to a standard RPR room. Since you dont need anyone to sleep on the couch its absolutely a good idea. The pullout in the LR is awful and painful. How did you manage a trip to USO w/o the kids? Lucky you. :flower:

My husband and I discussed this recently (again) and we figure the only way we can go alone is to tell them were going somewhere they would hate! LOL! Have a wonderful time.:)

Hi Jessica!

The reason they took it so well is because we are going on a San Deigo/Disneyland trip in June, and another Universal trip in November. Dh and I are too excited for this trip, we will be there for the last night of Mardi Gras!! :cheer2:

Do all of the king suites on RPR club level have poolviews? Thanks

There are two king suites on the club level. 3700 has a fantastic view of the pool but 3701 is across the hall with a view of I-4 and the surrounding area. Has anyone had one of these suites before? How much more was it than a king suite off club level?

I have a king suite booked for 6/25. I didn't know they had club level King Suites. Anyone think we have a shot at an upgrade?

Here's the scoop - I just called out of curiousity to find out the rate for a club level King Suite. They were very secretive about it. They said they couldn't confirm whether there were any and even if there were they had no way to book them ahead of time. She went on to say that the only way to do it would be to request an upgrade from a King Suite at the time of check-in and then, if they have one, and if its available, they would tell you the rate to upgrade. My goodness - quite a secret. We don't check in until 11:00 pm so I'm guessing if there is one it would've already been given out by that time. RyGuy - do you have more insight on this? I would love any suggestions on how we might grab one. Do you think if I called early on the day we check in and ask I might be given some info (instead of waiting until our late check-in).

Another option is that if you don't mind moving, ask them at the late checkin and if they are gone, you might be first on the list for the next morning.

It happened to us one trip. We checked in at 1am. We asked for a park view but all of them were gone. The receptionist asked me if we had a problem with moving the next day. I said nope - we were there for 7 days, so one move wouldn't be a problem. Since it was so late, we weren't going to unpack that night anyway.

The next morning at 8am there was a message on our phone that there was a room available and to just leave our bags by the front door. When we returned from the parks, just check with the front desk for new keys. We went to the parks and by about noon the new room was ready with our luggage all moved. Had a fabulous view of the waterway and IOA. Great customer service. I was ready to take the "sorry they are all gone" and just be happy that we were there :flower:. The guy at the front desk is the one who went above and beyond to put us on some sort of list for a room the next morning.

If you don't mind moving, it might be worth a shot.

I had called about the club level king suites before my stay last weekend. They told me that the upgrade fee was $100 to get up on club if one was available when I checked-in. I think its weird that they would have given me the hospitality parlor for free but not a king suite on the club level. Oh well, I am however taking them up on the hospitality parlor for my next visit.

I have stayed in the Hos Suite just below Club - you will love it!

I'm hoping to get the pool view one on the 5th or 6th floor.

We had the 2301 king suite last week and the view was gardeny and low enough that I-4 wasn't the distraction. I wouldn't want any higher in Tower 2. Jess is right about the pullout sofa being uncomfortable but my daughter didn't say anything. We made up the sofa to watch a scary movie on the "big" screen TV in the living room and DD11 fell asleep leaving me alone, in the dark, on an uncomfortable bed with the Boogieman! :scared1:
