We're going May 27-29. Right now we have club level @ RPR but have decided that club level is not for us. We're torn between a king suite @ RPR(275) and a deluxe @ PBH(263). DD,12, will be with us. HRH has deluxe @ 309.00/AAA rate and I don't want to spend that much. What do you think?

Since you have a 12 year old with you, I would probably opt for the King Suite at RPR. If it were just the two of you, I'd choose Portofino Bay. I have stayed in both of these rooms. The deluxe room at Portofino Bay is VERY nice and the bathroom is unbelievable. However, the King Suite at RPR will give you two rooms - living room with sofabed for your DD and a separate bedroom with king sized bed for you. It is nice to have the living room for relaxing and watching tv. The bathroom in the king suite is nothing great. Just a small bathroom with the sink and counter outside.

Both of these resorts are beautiful and I don't think you can make a mistake.

Have fun!

I agree. The RPR King Suite will give you an extra room, while the PBH deluxe will just give you an extra big room.

I have stayed in a PBH deluxe and can show you pics if you PM your e-mail addy. Honestly, we prefer the location and atmosphere of the RPR over the PBH, but that's just us. :)

The King Suite at RP will also give the 12 yr old their own TV with a great stereo sound system that you can play the TV through.

Go for the king suite. We stayed in one back in August and we enjoyed having 2 TV's so everyone could watch what they wanted.

Another vote for the King Suite. DS (12 at the time) and I were at RPR back in August and were upgraded to the King Suite. Sure glad we were. I had a bedroom with a King bed and TV. I had a door I could close. DS had a sleeper sofa and entertainment armoire. There was plenty of room to stash his clothes under the TV set. Sharing a bathroom was no biggie.

DH and I booked a deluxe room at PBH when were there back in July. (We were upgraded to a villa suite, but that is another story) The deluxe queen at PBH was plenty big for DH and I--even without the suite attached. I would book a deluxe at PBH again if DH and I were traveling alone again, but with DS along having the King Suite was great.

Thanks to all of you for your responses. After the unanimous vote, how could we do anything else but reserve the king suite. It's done!!!
