We're going to Universal in June and staying at RPR for 6 nights. There will be 8 of us-DH, myself, DD (18), DS (14), DS (7), DD (5), DD (3), and Grandma. We are Universal and RPR newbies. We were thinking of renting a cabana for a day. My Mom wants to relax by the pool most of the time and we thought it would be a nice treat for her as well as a place to relax out of the sun for the little ones. I saw the price is around $200 for the day. Can anyone tell me if one cabana location is better than another? Are there nightly movies and, if so, can you see them better from certain cabanas? What type of amenities are offered? Also, I think I saw that you call the fitness center to book. Is that still correct?

Thanks!

from their website:

One of the most impressive features of this resort is the lagoon-style swimming pool and sandy beach.

Sink your toes into the sand and ease your body into your lounge chair.

You’ll find a variety of organized poolside activities including ping pong tournaments, pool basketball, hula hoop contests, arts & crafts, weekly "dive-in" movies," and more. Check with the front desk upon your arrival to find out what’s happening during your stay. Lagoon style swimming pool featuring a white sand beach and the following:

• Royal Bali Sea interactive water play area for children
• Two (2) hot tubs
• Beach volleyball court
• Private cabanas available for rent. Cabana amenities include a ceiling fan, phone, TV, a refrigerator with water, soda and a fruit bowl. Please call 407-503-3235 for cabana reservations today!

Sip your favorite tropical beverage or order the "bula burger" from the Bula Bar & Grille poolside eatery.

this is from an older thread but the second post has a picture of one of the cabanas.

you get a fridge, soda/water, bowl of fruit, tv, chairs, ceiling fan, phone,in the cabana.
that is also listed in the above post from the website.

if you are staying club level, there should be a discount on the cabana rental.

if you are interested in renting a cabana at rph, call soon and reserve it.
there are less cabanas at this hotel than the others.

The difference in Cabanas would be more based around what part of the pool area you plan on spending time in. There's several near the zero entry/ship play area, perfect if you have young kids. Others are directly next to big hot tubs, etc.
