We also just returned from Club level at RP. I didn't have any problems at all. We loved it! this was our second time staying there and I have already noticed improvements.
The staff at conciege couldn't have been more helpful and friendly!! Cheyenne & Patti & vicki were outstanding, they just couldn't do enough for us!!!!!
I checked in no problem, got our Loews first complimentary wine delivered that night, kids got shell necklaces & Garde *A*'s on thier room keys. We didn't like the view of the first room they checked us ointo & the bellhop Michelle changed it to a fireworks pool view! they even let us keep the room we were in until the other room was ready. we even got our request to be at the end of the hall. (much quieter!) Rooms are on the 7th floor of tower three and are the same as any other rooms in the resort. You need your key to access that floor.
Housekkeping & turndown was excellent!! They left extra towels & toilitries. At turndown they pulled out the sofa bed & left small gifts on the beds ( shell key chains, shell necklaces & RP magnets).
Breakfast was great, plenty to choose from. They had pastries, muffins, bagel's cereal (with the most delicious mango cream cheese!) coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate, milk & fruit.
This was served from 7-10:30am.
During the day plenty of bottled water, juice, soda and iced tea were avaiable as well as fruit.
From 5-7 they offered cheese & crackers, fruit, chips & salsa and one other dish which varied from beef fried rice, quesadillas, a mahi salad something asian. At this time there was complimentary beer & wine, honor bar for $5.00 for other liquors and plenty of non-alcoholic beverages.
At 8:00 they had a milk & cookie hour. An assorted variety of cookies and sometimes brownies. One night we went out to dinner & my son was dying for the cookies. One of the girls there said don't worry Kevin we'll save you one for after dinner! So of course he remembers this & heads right up there after dinner. They had a whole platter of cookies & chocolate dipped strawberries with a white chocolate Royal Pacific logo for him!
The Club level lounge is open until 10:00pm. It was a really nice place to relax. I had read somewhere that free internet service was available at the lounge for club level guests. No one knew about this but there were plenty of T-1 outlets in the room so maybe it's just not available yet.
The complimentary wine, beer & bottled water was worth the extra money itself.
I have only stayed at the Swan & Yacht club concierge/club level and RP was pretty comparable to those at a lot less money!! Yes, nothing like POLY concierge but that is a lot more $$$.
I will be there again at Thanksgiving and whenever they will give us adiscounted rate again for club level!
I do worry however about the consistency of the resort but it is new & I write a letter about my experiences good & bad each time. I encourage everyone to do this. So I can only hope it will get better. I also longed for the luxury of PBH! But when we make frequent trips a luxury hotel is not always in the budget!
