RP Club "Upgrade" question

I thought I read somewhere that I could ask for Club level at checkin and if it was available, I could pay an additional $35/night...is this true? If so, has anyone had any luck with getting it? We'll be there Sept 13-15.

No, you can't upgrade to Club for $35. They recently had a program to upgrade to a suite for $35 but according to Loew's when I called to ask about it. You had to be paying a special (higher) rate to get it and it had to be available. Now some folks have reported success getting the $35 suite upgrade with the entertainment rate, but not too many. So it's worth a try to ask I guess. I remember someone reported being offered Club for $50/night extra. You would have to eat a lot of club food and beverages to make it worth while IMO but that's your call!

I think the $50.00 more for club is well worth it! If you have four in afamily you figure breakfast alone is at least $30.00 if not more. Then the bottled water & complimentary beer, wine and snack add up. i guess it depends how many in your family.

I didn't really think about it that way. If I had a good rate to begin with, I can see the $50/night being worth it. It was an amazing convenience to visit the lounge. There are 5 in my family so that would only be $10 a piece. Go Club!

My Dw and I got "bumped" to club level this past weekend. we are not sure whay as we didn't even ask. It was great to pay $99 a night and be on the Club Level. we enjoyed the continental breakfast and the late evening deserts. I think it was because we had a trainee at check in or that it was my DW b-day. We are not sure as they did not let us know we were on the club level and did not know how to work the elevator at first. Whatever, we had a great weekend and will go back.
