Roy's or Citywalk restaurant before HHN

We are thinking of going to Roy's for dinner for our anniversary, but we are also planning to go to Halloween Horror Nights that evening.

Should we go to a Citywalk restuarant instead (closer to Universal)?

Are you doing the Stay and Scream option? If you can, do that and stay in the park and eat at Finnegan's.
Otherwise I would stay in City Walk and eat there.

While Roys is normally an excellent choice for an anniversary dinner, I'm with Luvs2roam...the earlier you can be in the park for HHN, the better. Universal during HHN=WDW during Christmas week.

For a nice CW meal, go to Emeril's. Tell them it's your anniversary & ask to sit upstairs. If that's not possible, see if any other quieter tables are available. Even if you are seated in the main dining area, you will have a very nice meal. We've always been able to carry on a nice conversation over dinner.

Disclaimer: We only eat dinner there. I don't know what lunch is like.

We don't have day tickets. I was just going to get tickets for HHN and Express Passes.

Do you think we will be able to see everything with the express passes, even if we go for a nice meal and get to HHN at 7?

We love Emeril's. The first night we arrive in Orlando and after we check into our resort at Disney, we go to Emeril's for our first night dinner.

Express Pass will be a MAJOR help.
We used it once last year, even though we normally use Frequent Fear Passes.
You will be able to do everything, provided you hold out long enough. It's a FULL evening, even with EP.
