my 5yo loves princesses and dressing up. I have booked BBB and wanted to book the Royal Tea. However, the cost for Royal Court Royal Tea is $210 for children and $69 for adults. Because she is 5, I would have to go with her and we would spend $279. Is it worth it?

We just did it for the first time and our 4 year old absolutely loved it. She also got lots of goodies in top of the experience and we would definitely book it again on a future cruise!

My son and I did this. The whole thing was adorable and I believe the experience was worth the price ONCE.

Normally I would never do something like the Royal Tea but since both my granddaughters seem to love dressing up and princesses....I probably would do it when they are a bit older. They are only 2 now.

I did it with my 9 year old and she loved it. I wanted to do it before she got too old. She would love to do it again. The price was worth it for the experience once, but not sure for a 2nd time with the same gifts. We'll see. She's only a child for such a short time that I want to enjoy every moment and opportunity that I can.

I did it in January with my two girls (6&8) so it was a hefty price tag but they LOVED it!! Definitely a one time thing but I'm glad we did it.

I voted Yes for is it worth it, with one exception. It's worth it one time, unless they offer different gifts the next time you go. When we went it was the Cinderella doll. The one they just had on the Wonder in April was the Anna doll that is the one of her that looks like she's a toddler. I don't know if each ship does their own doll or not, so that would be the deal breaker for me. Different gifts, yes, I would do it with my daughter more than once. Same gift, no, once would be plenty. Definitely worth it the one time for sure though.

I can't say too much because my wife and DD aren't reying till next week but I'll say this, we think its pricey but seems "worth it" to us.

Everyones budget is different and we aren't doing booking excursions at all on our cruise. We will get off the boat at each port and do things we like and have searched out but the money we save from NOT doing DCL excursions pays for it so it might be possible to create a little flexibility in the budget to make the price a little easier to swallow.

Victoria & Alberts is the most expensive meal I've ever had in my life $500 for two people and to this day it stands as the greatest dining experience of my life. I don't think Royal Court Tea will compare to V&A but I'm sending my wife and DD and can think of alot of other things Ive wasted $279 that don't get the reviews this gets.

For those who have done it - what are the times and days it's usually offered? The presenting of the princesses in the atrium was adorable when we saw them, so cute!

I haven't done it yet (sailing in July) but my parents are treating us to the cruise, so how do I not splurge on this for princess-obsessed dd? She will only be this age and have it be this magical for her once, and we'd easily drop the same amt of money at cinderellas royal table (w/o all the gifts there). Even if we were paying for the cruise, I'd still do it for her. FYI, we are on a 7-day cruise and it was offered days 3 and 6 (2 of the three at-sea days) at 3pm.

We are sailing next week on a 4 night aboard the Disney Dream and it is offered on the Sea Day (Day 4) from 3:00 - 4:30

For those of you who have gone - what do you think is the uppermost age where it's worth the cost? We nixed it for my 11yo, which I think was the right call based on the gifts you get. She likes meeting princesses, but her days of wearing princess attire or wanting a new princess doll, etc are long past. Our next cruise will be with extended family, and I'm wondering about the next oldest girl. Is the jewelry more pre-schooler-ish? Other than the doll, what age did the gifts seem targeted at? Huge bummer if the jewelry doesn't even fit, you know? (We're tall folk.)

Anyone with a young teen go and think it was worth the cost for them? I believe they are charged the adult price, no gifts, so I'm just thinking about the experience itself being worth it. DD will be just-turned-13, and if her cousins are going, she'll want to join in - but I'm not sure if it'll be worth even the adult price for someone at that age. Hoping someone who took older siblings will have an opinion!

We are doing it on our July sailing but the only day available was the day we are in the Grand Cayman. Does anyone know if they hold some back for once you get on the ship? Also, would it be possible to switch ours then so we don't lose the one we have if they are sold out by the time we get to ask about changing.

My oldest daughter had zero interest in it when she was just a few weeks shy of 9 years old. At 10, she refuses to even do the Princess meet and greets lol. My youngest DD did it at 5 years old and was in heaven the whole time. The group of kiddos we saw in the room, the all looked to be around 9 and under. However, it's really based on the personality of your daughter. If you have an 11 year old who is Disney princess obsessed, then go for it. If you have a 4 year old that doesn't like Disney Princess stuff, then don't bother. So base it off of your daughter and what she is into :)
