Royal Suites - Worth It?

Hello all. Booked at POR. This will be our 3rd stay there. We always did the Aliigator Bayou before but are requesting the Manor this trip. Currently have a river view booked. My WDW babies are now teens and they are so looking forward to this trip. DS will be a junior so I'm watching my guys walk out the door. DD is a princess fanatic. Is it worth the extra for the Royal room? If the cost gets up any more I might want to go back to DS's original "my hotel" from 2003 the Wilderness Lodge. The Poly is ridiculous now but it is my favorite. This may be our last trip before graduation so I'm willing to splurge. Royal room worth it? Where did the time go?

I don't feel that the overall experience will equal that of WL or Poly, but I enjoyed my one stay at POR and am booking it again for our split stay.

Royal rooms don't offer anything other than decor and RV isn't something you'll enjoy on a balcony. Not worth it for me. If it ticks the boxes for your family, then dont change it.

We stayed in a Royal Room a few years ago because it was the only available room at the resort.

It was nice, we enjoyed the decor. But I wouldn't choose to pay extra for that room again. The price difference is not worth it in my opinion.

I suppose it would depend on the price difference for me. We stayed in a royal room for a couple of nights a few years ago. I think they're lovely, even with no kids. Design-wise it wasn't any different than other POR rooms, but it felt completely decadent to me. The rich colors and plushness just made me happy. The details were terrific.

Riverside is our favorite and we always stay in a Royal Room. First, I really love knowing I will be in the mansion section. Then, I just love the rooms. My husband loves hitting the fireworks button! I think your daughters would really enjoy the room. And, yes, I do think it is well worth the extra. Have a great time.
