I'm attending a convention at the Royal Plaza in mid-November. Although I've enjoyed numerous trips to WDW over the years (I'm 53), I have not visited since shortly after Animal Kingdom opened and have not kept up with what's new.

What do people think about that hotel and its transportation to the parks? All tips appreciated.

I'll probably have time to visit 2 or 3 parks (on different days). Which do you recommend?

We stayed there last November and were really impressed. We got a tower room on a high floor by request - didn't have much of a view - but the room was so nice that it didn't matter much. Rooms in the tower have a great bathroom with a huge jacuzzi tub (bigger than BC or any of the other DVC properties). The room was clean and had a nice sitting area that was almost like a sun room - in front of the window/balcony and seperated from the rest of the room by two columns. There was also a little wet bar - not much more than a small sink and a counter but it came in handy. Transportation was excellent too - we didn't wait long for buses - though the buses did hit a number of resorts before heading over to the park. The restaurant serves a nice breakfast buffet. We mentioned that we learned about the hotel on the mousesavers website and got coupons for a free breakfast - so you might want to try this - can't hurt. Pool area is probably not the strongest selling point of the resort though - and you might want to refuse the resort fee since the resort amenities are pretty much limited to the pool and a small exercise room (which admittedly we didn't use nor see).

Hope this helps - enjoy your trip!

I am going to move this over to the Orlando resorts board, where the Lake Buena Vista resorts are located. I hope you get more responses there.
