Do they offer a buses to WDW?

We had to change our dates(thanks to hubby's company) and now are not able to stay where we wanted to on site. I was looking at this hotel and it looks very nice (plus pet friendly). We will be going to MK and epcot and not doing Universal. Would this hotel be a good choice for us (kids ages are 7 and 3)? If not, any recommendations on where to stay???? We will only be staying for 2 nights. Would love to find something that has a bus system to and from WDW and is also pet friendly. Any help would be awesome!

Thanks,

Kim

The Universal hotels do not offer bus service to Disney. RPH is a beautiful resort but it would be a pain to go to Disney from there IMO. Maybe you should consider going to Universal and IOA instead of Disney if you want a pet friendly hotel!!

Unfortunately no. WDW and US/IOA are rivals in the theme park biz so they don't help each other out. If you have your heart set on staying there, then I'd rent a car - I've done this many times!!

The Royal Pacific is a great hotel, bur if you're planning on only touring WDW, I'd find a place off-site nearer to WDW that's both pet-friendly and has shuttles to the park.

HTH!!!!! :teeth:

have you checked any of the downtown disney or disney village (?) hotels? some of them may be pet friendly... another option would be the campground at disney... or as someone else suggested, the wdw kennel...

Thank you all for your replies. We thought about putting him into a kennel, but I am not sure how he would do. I have found a hotel in Downtown Disney............Embassy Suites LBVR and it is pet friendly and has a shuttle (we will have our own car....we live 1.5 hours away, but hate the thought of having to find a parking spot at MK)

Now off to research the Embassy Suites.

It would be a shame to stay at RPR and not take advantage of FOTL at USO.

Residence Inn Seaworld lets you have pets, but I don't know about shuttles there, we had a car.

FOTL is front of the line. If you stay at one of the Universal hotels you will get a room card, if shown at the rides in the park, you go in faster than the regular line of people waiting.

FOTL is wonderful! We stayed at the Royal Pacific last year and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is really nice and FOTL is wonderful!! You show your room key and they have a special line that lets you by-pass the regular line and we were able to just walk on most rides!

we stayed at this hotel in 2003 and loved it!

Spicey (my cat) really enjoyed it and starting walking around like he knew where he was going.... :rotfl2: :goodvibes Everyone was wonderful to him, including the other guests (this was a surprise).

It is a wonderful place to stay at - but not when you are doing WDW.

FOTL is incredible, and the Royal Pacific is just gorgeous! It's a drive from one park to the other, and if I was staying at Royal Pacific and had that FOTL pass, I would be hardpressed to go to Disney each day... but I understand wanting to stay at someplace pet friendly. I would not kennel my pet at Disney, so the other option might be to find a day care in the area instead. ?

BTW - even when staying at Disney, we NEVER take the buses - our own car is so so so much faster and more convienant - if you have your own car, I would drive it to the parks each day. The onsite buses take forever, and the offsite hotels are even worse usually. Parking is quick and easy, they have it down to an art, we've never had a problem - even at MK.

wow, we've NEVER had any problem w/disney transport at all and we've used it exclusively our last three trips!

now, back to universal... is a rental car necessary there? we're also staying at RPR and will want to go to US, IOA and CW... will universal's internal transport (assuming they have such a thing) work for us?

You don't need a car to go from RPR to Universal and Citywalk, they have a nice boat ride that goes from hotel to Citywalk area, you get out there and walk left for IOA and right for US. They also have buses, but we didn't use them. They also have a walking path thats from the hotel to the Citywalk area. My DD11 loved the boat, we never waited more than 5 minutes from the hotel, but sometimes you don't get to sit together. Sometimes leaving from the Citywalk area going to hotel was a little longer, we went in July 2004.

Have a great time! Be sure to do Men in Black and the Mummy!

Royal Pacific is wonderful..not doing universal..hmm, think the kids would love both parks. Have they been before.

You can take a cab or shuttle service back and forth.

You don't need a car if you stay onsite. You can walk to Universal Studios, Islands and Citywalk. (Technically you need to walk through Citywalk to get to Universal and Islands so thats a "freebie")

There are also boats, and if raining, there are busses that go from one hotel to the other.

I've stayed at Royal Pacific twice. WE loved it.
