We are doing our first Universal trip this spring and staying at Royal Pacific. I am trying to get a plan in place for the first night. We are supposed to land at 1:30. I’m not sure yet how we’re getting to the hotel yet, but I’m planning that it will be at least between 3 and 3:30 before we get there. Does that seem right?
We are staying club level, so I’m thinking we can go to the lounge for some snacks after getting in the room, then let the kids swim.

I made a 6:45 reservation at Toothsome. What time should we leave the hotel to walk over there? Is there really enough time to fit in swimming and getting ready? Should I try for an earlier reservation and swim after dinner? We will be up pretty early
for our flight and I don’t want to overdo it.

It takes us around 7 minutes to walk to the parks from RP so a few minutes extra to get to Toothsome and the security check shouldn`t take long either. Depending on your walking speed, give yourself 15 minute tops to walk.

I wouldn`t take the boat to go to Toothsome as it drops you the other side of the lagoon to Toothsome. Saves you doubling back.

You can go into the lounge as soon as you check in.

assuming your flight is on schedule & luggage hits carousel in timely fashion, you may be able to be on the road within an hour. So, 3 - 3:30 pm is good estimation

since in a hurry, might want to set up towncar service

Be advised, your room may not be ready until 4 pm, or later

getting the kids showered & good to go after the pool would be the wildcard for us in this scenario.

Since you can give them snacks from lounge, suggest keeping an eye on toothsome for later dining openings, perhaps something will open up to give you a bit more breathing room.

The kids are always the wildcard, right?😆 I agree that it could be tight with showering and getting ready. We will play it by ear and see what kind of a mood everyone is in when we make it to the hotel. I don’t plan on promising them a swim, just in case.

10 minutes max. Such a nice walk to City Walk from RPR, love that it's next to the water.

We're never in a hurry either - I refuse to rush on vacation - plus we LOVE the boats - it's like another ride for us, LOL :)!
I love boat rides! On a trip to Martha's Vineyard I noticed the people conducting the boat shuttle didn't pay any attention to whether passengers were actually getting off and I considered just staying on the boat for a lap or two, decided against it because there was too much I wanted to do on the island though.
