Royal pacific or doubletree universal?

I am taking my husband to Universal for our 25th and his 50th birthday in November 25th-30th. We are also taking my Dad to Disneyland for his 80th in December. We will have no one else with us and can save almost $700 dollars to put toward our Disney trip if we stay at the Doubletree. Does anyone have any information about the Doubletree? We have stayed at the Royal Pacific 2 other times and loved it. Please anything would help. Thanks

the big deal for me about royal pacific is the fole that it has

w/o that would stay even cheaper that doubletree

doubletree is a hilton and that is probably more than enough.
