Royal Pacific needing 3 beds, reserve a cot guaranteed?

Actually, on the VAX sales system that Universal uses for travel agents, there IS a requirement for a rollaway for 5 adults in the 2 queen rooms. It may not appear elsewhere, but it's definitely there in the requirements on their sales site. That might be the root of the inconsistencies with regards to actually charging for those rollaways at the front desks.

Have to say in all my time on here, have never heard of anyone "have to" have a rollaway when there's 5 adults. We read of many people making a reservation for 5 adults and no one ever comes back and says it's been a condition.

My niece and family are 5 adults and are at PB right now, but usually stay RP and I know they don't ever have a rollaway. They were last there at Christmas.

Is this a new thing? Is it only for TA's??

I ask, because if this is the case, it should be put in the information on the hotel stickies.

Thanks Jeff........

You know what ... although the VAX system has been giving me that message about a required $25 fee for a rollaway with 5 adults in std 2 queen rooms for WEEKS ... when I went back just now to copy and paste the text so you could see it ... poof. It's gone.

I know they made some changes to the VAX system over the weekend because they changed access to the Explorer ticket as well. Must have changed that at the same time. It's an issue with VAX ... they change stuff all the time without really seeing up a flare so you know that they've done it. Given that they weren't "requiring" the rollaway at the resort itself, it sort of makes sense that they dropped that language. I'm still going to carry on notifying my clients that rollaways are available for a $25 dollar fee. That way they'll know it's an option if nothing else.

No worries Jeff, I just wanted to make sure the correct info is there in the stickies for all to see if there had been changes made. Macraven and I like to keep them as updated as possible.

Oh yes there has always been fee if you use a rollaway, but glad it's not changing to a mandatory thing for five adults. Hadn't heard anything about it which was a concern. Didn't see anything on the Loews site either.

Folks will still be able to use blow up mattresses and make pallets if they choose. But will keep a check on it for information.

Thanks for checking though..........

Jeff, I appreciate you came back here to correct and update for the readers!

I try my best to make sure all stickies have current info
If anyone contacts me of changes, and it is accurate, I update stickies

I contacted 3 TA friends and asked them if UO policy changed over the memorial weekend

They assured me it wasn't and then asked was I posting under the influence
Hahahahhahaha
(I'm still on meds from surgery)

Schumi, so glad you are keeping stickies up
Many newbies don't go through all the forum threads for info they need

Many message me as they look at stickies only

Thank you for all the time you put into the UO forums
You are appreciated!
