Royal Pacific Club Questions

We have stayed in the Hard Rock club room and absolutely loved it. My family wanted to live there. We were lucky enough to get a view of the parks too.

I can't get the good rate at HRH that we got last time and are considering Royal Pacific instead. Has anybody stayed in both club rooms and can give me a comparison? Or can anybody who has stayed in a Royal Pacific club room answer some questions for me? I don't mind a private message or email. I am trying to find out things like what the views are and if the food in the club lounge is the same as the HRH. Is the lounge the same size? ...
Thanks!
Janelle

We have stayed in the HRH (regular room) and RPH Club level. Here's what I think:

Rooms - both were nice but HRH was clearly better. As a lowes member, got upgraded to pool view at HRH, at the RPH club level, no upgrade on view, overlooked the parking lot/freeway.

Lounge - RPH, one word, terrific! Hostesses were so nice, served us drinks all evening while we were seated. The lounge is well laid out, about the size of two hotel rooms. Food and beverages are in the middle with sofas/TV/DVD player on either end. We spent each evening having snacks/beer/wine while watching a movie (big list to choose from) - more than made up for the so-so view from the room.

Given the choice between a HRH non-club level and the RP club level, I'd go RPH in a heartbeat.

The views in the RPR Club level depend on your room. The club room itself looks out over I-4. One side looks out over the pool area and across to IOA. Not sure which room numbers, unfortunately.

I think the RPR club lounge is a little bigger than at the HRH, but the configuration is different.

The level of service is comparable. As to food, that changes, but RPR has access to an awesome kitchen complex (the one that serves the convention center) and the cookies and goodies I've sampled have been very very good indeed.

I think the rooms between the two are a matter of opinion. I prefer the RP rooms to HRH. My view on club level was beautiful. It overlooked the pool and parks. You can request the pool view but it's not guaranteed. I have gotten it both times I was up there & since I booked right through the concierge this time she did say she would get it again for me, we'll see. I think teh lounge at RP is a bit nicer then HRH but it will depend on teh type of decor you like. I also thought teh service was a lot better at RP club level. They can't do enough for you! :)

Thank you all for the info. You really are selling me on RPR.

My kids, 10 and 16 years old, are set on going back to HRH but my husband wants to try RPR. So now I have a tough decision. I just booked HRH for the week before I really wanted to go because the Fan Club rate was available for that week and not when I had wanted.

My son wants to know if they have the same quality donuts at RPR as HRH. They tasted like Krispy Kremes.

What floor is the club level on at RPR?

Thank you all!

I was told that the Club Level Floor at RPH is the 7th.

Only two more months and I wll check Club Level out in person for 4 nights!!! I can't wait!

**UPDATE** Due to a better deal, I have moved my reservation from the RPR Club Level to the Hard Rock Club Level!!! It's going to be the same price. My husband & I are happy with the change. He's a musician and the Hard Rock sounds very cool. Maybe we'll try RPH or PBH next time.

Have fun Lisa!!! Tell us all about it when you get back.
Thanks!

Yes, key access 7th floor tower three.

Here are some of the differences:

Lounges: The HRH Club Lounge is 5000' sq and the RPR Club Lounge is 2000' sq, but you may not notice the size difference because of the layout of each. The snacks and beverages will vary between the two as well. The HRH tries to stay with "American" fare where the RPR works for a more "Carribean" style.

Rooms: Other than decor, room sizes are different. The RPR Club rooms are approx 340' sq and the HRH Club rooms are approx 375' sq.

Amenities between the two rooms should be very similar if not identical.

Check out www.universalorlando.com for amenities and pictures.
