We were at the Royal Pacific from 10-19 to 10-24. It was beautiful!!!! Especially for $109 per night (pool view-ent rate). We arrived around 9pm, no "smoking" rooms were available so we got a HULK view room on the 7th floor in tower 1. The room was comfortable for the 4 of us. We were moved the next morning to the 1st floor, not much of a pool view but lots of palm trees
. We took the boat back and forth
until we realized it was only a 5-7 minute walk. We never ate at the RP's restaurants, we ate our meals at Citywalk. One night we ordered room service, the most expensive meal of the vacation, but it was the night we did HHN and everything at the hotel was closed. NOTE: the tip is automatically added in, our luck server wound up with a 40% tip cause I didnt pay attention to the bill
, oh well, live and learn.
We did HHN on Wed Oct 23rd. It was so worth the extra cost. Next year if anybody is thinking about doing VIP, go for it!!!!! Our tour guide was Cindi, and she was very nice and informative. My DD, 9, was too afraid to go in any haunted houses so she waited with Cindi, and another little girl who was scared. We saw all the houses and got real FOTL treatment. The people in the lines have a few nasty comments when the lines were stopped for us, but hey, they could have booked a VIP tour, too.
As far as the haunted houses, lots of strobe lights, great scareactors, I was really scared in a couple and really "grossed out" in the Fear Factor House.
The "Bill and Ted" Show was probably the funniest thing I have ever seen. We had just watched Austin Power's Goldmember movie in the room on Monday night, otherwise I dont think that part would have been as funny. The way that Velma from Scooby Doo was portrayed was soo funny, the whole thing was a riot, but the Osborne's???? The best. I
