Royal Member Gathering or EMH at DCA?

We are heading to Disneyland Resort in a couple of week and I am planning my schedule. I have noticed that Monday, the first park day of our trip, i want to visit DCA their regular opening time is 8 am, Extra Magic Hour will be from 7 am. Also on that day there is the Royal Member Gathering at Disneyland Hotel at 8 am. Last time I went (three years ago) to the member gathering I won the big gift basket so I want to try my lucky again. But on the other hand EMH for cars land means shorter wait time. Since we are from the east coast, getting up early will not be a problem for us. What would you guys do if you are me? EMH or member gathering?

If you're there right away for EMH I suspect you could ride RSR and still go to the gathering. After that head back to DCA.

How long walk of a walk from cars land to DLH Sleeping Beauty Pavillion? It seems a lot of walking to get 30 minutes of extra ride time.

It's not so much about an extra 30 minutes of ride time - I think it's the question of it being worth it for a short line for RSR with early Magic Morning vs a potentially longer line. We go to the member gatherings if we don't have anything else planned. The odds of winning something are not terrible but we never have at any of them. So either I'd just skip it or else go in early to DCA and walk over. It looks like you're at PPH so you would have the walk over to DCA then the walk back. I'd allow approx 15-20 minutes for the walk to DLH depending on how fast you walk.

Since it seems you're staying onsite, you'll have access to all the early entrances at both DL and DCA. So if there's another day with early entry to DCA, and you really really want to do the member gathering, do the member gathering that day.

You are right! I rearrange my plan so I will be able to do DCA on Wednesday and go to Members gathering on Monday.
I tried too hard to squeeze everything in sometime. LOL
