The pics of the castle are just stunning!!!
You really were due a better night after some of the day's more trying moments.I've never actually done any of the extra magic hours because I've been so afraid of the crowds. My plan is usually to avoid the extra hours park at all costs. Maybe I'll try it this year when I'm by myself.
Fantasyland is wonderful first thing in the morning. My past two trips I've gone there right after rope drop and made it on to nearly every ride in an hour without even putting an effort in. That's with leisurely walking from ride to ride. Soooo much better than later in the day when Peter Pan has a 2 hour wait, which much as I love it, I refuse to wait that long.
I'm the same way. I refuse to wait in a 2 hour line...pretty much for anything, and it's just not possible with HRH. I won't do that to him, or myself. You know?
I really loved Fantasyland in the morning on my Septebmer trip, and was totally spoiled by four rides in a 20-30 minute span. Leisurely walking, just like you said. It was great, and that's totally the way to do it.
I have to say, I've read on the DIS about the wonder / horror that is EMH, and I had a great experience this past time. I was pleasantly surprised, and for your solo trip, why not give it a shot? You may have a great time! And if not, cocktails at the Tambu Lounge are only a monorail ride away.
Lapu Lapu anyone?
