Royal Mansions Resort???

A few people have stayed here, but I'm not sure if anyone within the ranks of current DIS Cruise Board users has. It's a fairly plain-looking condo complex with very spare furnishings... but it's right on the beach... in a quiet residential neighborhood... it's a good value for the money... and it's the closest beachfront resort to the cruise terminal.

Thanks Dave, I knew you may have the answer!
I already booked it at a very good rate. I liked the fact that it has a full kitchen. I like to at least pretend that I am going to cook.LOL
We will stay for 3 nights before cruise and after 7 days of WDW.

We stayed there for four nights back in 2000 anjd found it very comfortable. Nice access to the ocean. Enjoy your stay.

We have stayed there three times. The beaches are fine for swimming and for walking along. The surf conditions depend on the time of year you will be going. You have about a mile walk up to Jetty park where you can watch the cruise ships depart, they have gambling ships leaving once or twice aday and you can also Disney Wonder or Magic. The Coca beach pier is about two miles south from the Mansions resort, where they have beach volleyball and fishing off the pier. This is right near Ron Jons surf shop, that is open 24hrs for t-shirt shopping etc.. There is a couple of chain style restaurants nearby. If you are so inclined you are only a few miles away from the Kennedy Space Center, it is a full day to see all the attractions there. Hope this helps, we just got back from 1 week at WDW and 1 week Magic Cruise.

:bounce: Thanks everybody! I think we will enjoy some beach time there, I just checked my ressies we will be checking in at the Mansions Aug 27 th and checking out the 31st and on the the magic!

We stayed there for a week last summer. It was very nice, very well furnished and in a great location.

The beach is wide and flat, and you are about a 15 minute walk south of the jettys at Jetty Park.

If you are fortunate enough to be there for a missile launch, the location cannot be beat. We got to see a Delta 4 launch at about 1 a.m. when we were there and the sight was tremendous.

The only drawback I could mention is that there is no on-site dining.
