I see that it is still open june 16-24....is there any way we can be a part of this? Also I see from previous posts about character meals...where is the best character lunch for a 5 and 3 year old? That sounds fun since I have never heard of one at Disneyland our home resort.

As of 4/21/09, We do ask that you have been a member of DISBOARDS for at least 6 months and have 75 post to plus staying ONSITE to participate in our swap.. Just as you don't know us, we don't know you. Sadly, this decision was made due to the recent issues caused by people joining DISBOARDS just for a "free" stroller. We aren't trying to be unfriendly towards new DIS'ers, we are just looking out for the best welfare of our strollers. After reading and agreeing to the rules and responsibilities below and you would like to still join...

Hey ParkersMomma,
I just noticed that Mrsdennison has two strollers and so do I, about a week later. She is swapping to me with #4 but not with #2 (that one is coming from mousermom09). Would it make sense to swap mrsd (from #1) and mousermom09 (#2) around (if both are ok with that)? That way MrsD can drop off both strollers to the same place for me to use next. It would just make things easier for her. Seems like the dates would still all work out.
Of course, if we get some swappers in between our dates this would not work out at all. Just a thought!

Hey fellow swappers!

I've been on vacation for a week (Virginia Beach) and just got back and found myself tortured to have no internet access and no DisBoards! Anyhow just caught up with the past 3-4 pgs and it seems as if I haven't missed anything important, right?? I don't have any new PM's or anything but thought I'd pop in to say HI and let Parkers*Momma know I'm still around!

The ADR swap sounds great - although way too confusing for me! I still have a good 2-3 mos before I can book so my mind is too tired now to think about how all of it would pan out. We are going Dec 5-13.

DD's 2nd bday is in one week! YIKES how do kids grow up so fast??? She is still my "baby" and probably always will be. For some odd reason it's sad for me that she's turning 2 - like she's done with baby-hood. Is this weird for me to think that way??? Anyhow - we have her Dora party on Saturday so I'll be busy planning all the food, etc this week!

PS - edited b/c I just realized I'm FINALLY less than 6 mos on my ticker! woohoooooo! I booked our trip 18mos in advance so this is HUGE for me!

At a glance, it won't work. Mousermom needs a stroller 3-10. If I put her in swap #1, she wouldn't have a stroller until the 6th.

The other option would be if you would like to contact dolfinjuls and see if she would mind moving to swap #2...then I could put you in swap #1. Mrsdennison could then still bring both strollers to you. If you want to ask dolfinjuls that would be fine by me. Just let me know asap so we can all the swappers in those three swaps on the same page for exchanging information.

It's easy!!! Closer to your ADR time, we can help you out if need be! It's basically just working the system to make sure you get the ADR's you want at the beginning of your stay.

9/22 Yak &Yeti lunch (eating at the hotel that night and then MNSSHP, so i can try for dinner for someone just about anywhere.)

5 more days till we begin our long road trip(1700 miles one way). I am so nervous about the drive. Well actually about the whole thing! Did any of you find things that you needed to avoid while using the stroller ie. gates, buses, trams? We are using #2 if it makes a difference.

Nope.. Have a great trip! The strollers was fine to get around. We used a in step stroller for many years at Disney before we got in on this swap. There was a time when my DH had to get a double stroller and a single on the bus, while I carried the little ones on the bus. This is when they the little ones were 4,2 and a newborn. The two older ones try to hlep. I am... and I am sure my DH is glad those days are behind us. I thought it would get easier now that they are older... and it is most of the time.... yet know we get I want to ride with so and so... no you rode with her last..etc.

Well I heard back from my travel agent. I got all of my restaurants but not on the days I wanted. As it turns it works better, less time on the bus. Has anyone used the Transportation Wizard?

I've never used it but just checking from Movies to Ak and the time is way off. I don't think it is real accurate--as it says 22 minutes...I don't think it takes but 12-15 minutes from the time you board the bus. I think it does depend on the routes the bus takes.

The ONLY time you have a long time is when you go from resort to resort. Now that is the pits! I've wasted up to 2 hours going from resort to resort during high times.

What ressies did you get? Thank you again for helping me out. if I can help you with the busing just give a yell. I'll be honest, I've got that system totally worked out...hahaha...we ALWAYS use the bus system. HAHAHA

POP's buses are great. The DD's and I stayed here last August and none of our bus rides were more than 20mins. It is nice because the buses do not share or stop at any of the other resorts. Also they were running lots of buses when we went so there was never a long wait to get to where you wanted to go. Once you ride and get the hang of it the busing system is really easy to use.
It is nice to be able to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner and not have to worry about driving a car back from the restaurant

A glass of wine!!! I am seeing Disney w/ my 3 nephews (6,6,3) and my niece 1 1/2. I only have cats.
