HI

this is from cruisejunkie: http://www.cruisejunkie.com/events.html
wondering if anyone else had heard anything about this....rather troubling :guilty:

December 20
Brilliance of the Seas
Royal Caribbean International A couple have sued alleging that RCI's baby sitter sexually assaulted their 2-year-old son while they were on a cruise. The assault allegedly occurred on Dec. 18, 2003.

OMG, thanks for posting. What an interesting document...makes me want to rethink cruising. So glad to see DCL wasn't on the list! :)

Thank goodness DCL has a different style of babysitting. In fact the crew are not even allowed to date passengers. I for one feel safe on DCL.

Does that cruise line offer private, in-room babysitting? That would open them up to more allegations of child abuse. Group child care (like provided by DCL) provides a safety net of co-workers observing and parents constantly coming and going without being announced. I feel confident that child sexual abuse would be unlikely in the group activities provided by DCL.
JMHO

Disney must somehow keep their things quiet. There is no mention of the recent "port hole blowing in" on the Wonder, or the very recent death of the crew member on the Wonder. It also doesn't mention the fact that the Magic was delayed almost an hour leaving Port Canaveral on 12/18 in order to debark a person who was ill (from ship to waiting ambulance)

Seems like all of these things would have ended up in there.
