Royal Caribbean drops testing for 10 days or shorter

Have you read the comments above yours? What value do the tests really have if they can be cheatable and if people have a "back-up" plan if someone tests positive? Most countries no longer have a testing requirement and even the U.S. no longer requires a test to return. DCL will be last to jump onboard the no testing, but eventually they'll drop the requirement as well. And how is it that people didn't have to be tested coming off a ship but they did coming off a plane? None of it makes any sense.
The fact that some people run red lights and get away with it is not a great argument for eliminating traffic signals, nor does it support an argument that traffic signals don't reduce accidents at intersections.

Similarly, the fact that gaps exist in COVID mitigation strategies or testing regimes does not demonstrate that the tests are worthless.

Really bottom line is covid testing for cruises is on the way out and likely in a couple months none of the lines will require (except maybe DCL) them at all (vax or not). This push many more people to book than before and will cause a much smaller group to not want to cruise for awhile. They won't ever make everyone happy but things are trending toward normal and what brings the most profit again.

This thread is mostly covid debate, which is still against the policy in place. I'm going to lock it. (I will do my best to keep any threads about DCL open when/if they change their policy).
