Roy Disney Suite Pics, etc.

Thank you for sharing your vacation photos... looks like it was a great cruise!

jfs9900 - There were just 4 of us in the suite, but we were traveling with 5 others, who spent alot of time there with us. We also entertained a group of DIS cruisers there on Wednesday. No need to book 2 rooms with a suite that big - it'll sleep 10.

Normally there is a 2-3 year waiting list for the cat. 1 suites, but we were lucky enough to get the Roy Suite this year, and the Walt Suite for next year! :D

Is it time to go back yet??:p

Thanks for your response. I thought you could only book up to 5 people in the room, after looking at your pictures I thought you had more!

Great pictures--we were in the Roy suite in June and loved it! Who was your room steward?

We were told you can only book 7 in the suite--but it will definitely sleep more.

We've stayed in both and like the Roy better.

Thanks for the pictures.
Beth

Sorry for the double post-tried to delete it wouldn't let me!!

Beth - Our room steward was "Don". He was very efficient for us.

We are excited about staying in the Walt Disney Suite next year, but think we might like the Roy Suite better too, since, as far as we're concerned, a piano just takes up space! :p

But I guess we'l make do! LOL

Great photos! I love the matching outfits. Wish you were going the same time as us ;)

Really great pictures- thanks for sharing them!

Cheryl -

When are you going? We're on the 10/29/2005 Eastern cruise.

Beano,

I was referring to the 6/25/05 west coast cruise. I remember "talking" to you on the cruise meets board last month. I guess you must have two cruises booked, (lucky duck) or you canceled 6/25/05. I hope not!

See ya,
Cheryl

Beano,
This Cheryl is going Jan. 9th.:sunny:

If you don't mind me asking - how can you book the "Roy" suite and how much does it cost. What are the perks of booking that suite?
Thanks

Thanks for sharing the Pics Beano. They are great!!! Looks like everyone had an awesome time too!! Of course, how could you not!! ;)

Enjoy your next trip!!:sunny:

Linda - You can book the Roy/Walt suite merely by chance; or luck. The waitlist is generally a year or 2, we simply lucked out and got the 'Roy' last month, and we have the 'Walt' next year. Right place at the right time, I guess you'd say.

What you need to do is book your cruise and have your travel agent waitlist you for a category 1 opening... then wish for the best. Might happen, might not.

As far as the advantages?

Well, to us, they're well worth the cost. Anytime you need something, you hit the concierge button on your phone, tell them what you want, and they bring it to you. It really is almost that simple.

I asked them to bring us 6 or 8 bottled waters; they brought us a case of 24. I asked for a few plates of food for our party; they brought a magnificent spread fit for 50 people.

Need a coke?

Right away, sir.

Need some laundry done?

Right away, sir.

And so on...

Plus, you get virtually any Palo reservations you want, spa reservations, excursions, etc.

Ya get what ya pay for! :D

Linda- Thanks for asking...I was wondering the same thing but was too ashamed to ask. Since this is our first cruise we only booked a CAT 10 and I think I could get 4 rooms for the price of that suite. So, I was wondering what I would be missing. I guess it's the service. Maybe after this cruise we'll have to move up to "better catagories".

lkohawaii - Our friends stayed in a cat 10 this year, and I know what they paid for it, so I can tell you that actually... you could get 6 or 7 of them for the price of the suite. :)

Seriously though, my wife and I really want to stay in that room at least once!! I am thinking of trying to get it for our 10 year anniversary. I never knew it was so hard to get, so thanks for the info. I guess I'll start trying for it on our 8th! ::yes::

Thanks for posting the great pictures!! What a treat your cruise must have been! Can't wait until we can have a suite, too.
