I have an old cisco linksys router. I want to buy a new one so that I can add security code to it. I am looking at the e1200 v. e2500. We don't play games on internet. Basically just web browse, watch netflix and tv shows through websites. So I don't really need the e2500. I live in a two story colonial and the router is placed on second floor in front of house. When I go in the backyard, I have to sit very close to house to get wifi. Would the
e2500 be better for range or are they all basically the same range. Any help you be appreciated.

We use the Cisco Valet. Can't get to it right now to see model #. We have had it couple years. Absolutely easiest I've ever used to set up. hth

thanks for the replies. Going to research what you both told me.

We have the Cisco Linksys E2500. It works well with our Road Runner Turbo service, and has much stronger signal strength than our old Netgear N router.
