Route to campground

What's the best/easiest route to Fort Wilderness...once we get near or on-property?
We'll be coming up from south west of Orlando.
GPS shows one route and Disney's directions a different route.

I find I-4 to World Drive then just following the signs to MK to be the easiest way to go to FW. Once you get to the gates at MK, stay to the far right, but not the last lane as it is buses only. Let them know you are checking in at FW. Once through stay to the right. You will turn right and then FW will be on your left.

Once on property, I do tend to use the back ways around more often than the main MK gate, but I do find it the easiest if FW is were I am headed first to go the direct route.

I take world drive as well. Easiest way in and a left hander into the campground which is easier when your a larger rig. Plus I enjoy passing under the gate.

I agree with pp's as the drive into FW angles and makes it 'very' difficult to turn 'right' especially if you are towing. Plus, I too, enjoy going through the Disney 'gate'! The 'back' way does not seem near as 'magical'!

If you aren't towing, you can follow the signs for Port Orleans resort. Go past the resort and past the pet boarding building up the the stop light. Turn left, FW will be on your right. This can sometimes be better at night when a lot of people are heading to one of the monorail resorts for dinner and the traffic is bad at the main gate.

I say this for those not towing because of the aforementioned angle problem.
