Route to bypass I-4 through Orlando and get to I-95 from the Fort?

We are getting ready to leave the Fort tomorrow, and the freak show of construction through Orlando is still sticking with us...so we're looking for an alternate route to get us back to I-95 north. Any suggestions for us? Just go up through Ocala and then over to Jacksonville? Or up 429 to 414 near Apopka?

You can take I4 up one exit I believe and take 528 east (toll road) to 85 north. It added about 20 min to our trip the last time we were down there. The tolls towing were about 7 dollars.

Leave the Fort going the back way, turn left on to Vista Dr. follow that to hgwy. 535, Winter Garden Vineland Rd. and go right again. Follow that to S. Apopka Vineland Rd. Take a right and get on I-4 East. Go to exit 72, 528 toward Cocoa, then you can pick up I-95 from there, OR take exit 37 on 528, to hwy. 407. That will take you further north to get on 95 up by Titusville, (Kennedy Space Center).

I left the Fort on the 25th and did the 429 route, there was NOBODY on the road once I left Diz. Instead of going thru Ocala, exit the 429 at the end and pick up 441 north (Mount Dora, Eustis) to 19 north thru the forest. 19 will take you into Palatka where you can pick up US 17 north to Green Cove Springs, Orange Park. just north of OP get on I 295 N to bypass Jacksonville and join I-95 north of Jax . Safe travels

In August 2016, I ended up on that toll road (forgot to set GPS to avoid Toll Roads). I think they saw me coming as I paid over $20 in the end. I couldn't believe it was so expensive, I just assumed it was because of the trailer. Now I know better.
