Route Directions Help Please

Hopefully this'll be my last question before we go on Thursday.

I realise that when one is at home thinking about driving in an unfamiliar place it can seem all so confusing, and when we actually get there, it will probably be so obvious.


However, I'd still like some advice on the following routes if you can:

From Poinciana to Disney. Should we use the 192 or Osceola? And where does this famous Sherberth Road shortcut come off from? I can't find a map showing it, sorry.

Poinciana to Universal. 192 then I4? or Oscela then I4? or cross them both and go up I-drive?

And will we have trouble finding our way back, or are things pretty well signposted?

do you mean your going from ponciana boulevard? if you do , then when you get to the junction where the 192 runs across, just go straight across the 192 and then carry on for 2mins as if your heading toward the new walmart, you will see a left turn off which takes you on to the osceola parkway, this is a toll road. once on their it will take you to disney!

We stayed in a villa off Poinciana a couple of years back and always used Osceola parkway for both going to WDW and Universal - just remember there is a toll to get onto the Parkway at Poinciana, can't remember how much it is off hand, but it's not much.

If you're talking about Sherberth road that you get to on your way to AKL, i only know how to get onto it from WDW.....if you'd like to know that, let me know...but i can't imagine it would save time since it's only has one lane in each direction with lots of cars turning left and stopping traffic...

You can get to sherberth road off the 192 - heading west between 6 and 5. Look out for an IHOP on the right and then a Pizza world and it's just past there. Go down sherberth then turn right at a big junction with traffic lights - then to get to AK you need to double back on yourself so take a left at the first gap in the middle of the road

It's a great shortcut especially for AK - we've used it a couple of years and never met a lot of traffic
