Today has not been fun. Splash is down. Peter Pan is down. 90 minute waits for remaining headliners. It's days like today that you can feel the negative impact of FP+. Lines at FP kiosks are a mile long with people trying to get new FP's.

Very muggy today. Very crowded as well. Tempers are being tested. I'll try and record any fights that break out.

I thought that when a ride was closed and you missed your FP+ window, FP+ would automatically re-book you for later.

I was following wait times on the app this morning out of curiosity for our upcoming trip. It was an EMH morning and things looked great for the first couple of hours. Wait times look terrible now though. Hope things improve!

Well, that's true nearly every day.

Ugh! MK is tough when it's really crowded. Especially some of those walkways. And people get grumpy for sure.

Hope it gets better for you.

No idea. If that's the case most people don't seem to know it. Test Track closed multiple times yesterday and we had FP's for it. At 7:45, it closed for the night so I have no idea what happened to ours.

Ugh, I would leave and hit the pool at the hotel for a little while & come back in a few hours.

Just looked at waits. Seems all the headliners are 50-70 minute waits. For mid July at 1pm....I don't think that is too terrible. If it were September I'd think otherwise. This is why I don't go during summer.

Check your email account that is attached to your MDE account. They will send you an email about the FP and what your options are. When we were there a few weeks ago, TT went down for storms and we got a FP for the rest of the night for it- or anything other than Soarin...

That's definitely what happens. If an attraction goes down during your FP+ window, you'll get an email saying that FP+ has now turned into an "anytime" (on that day) FP+ for either that ride or a list of several other attractions. Those anytime FP+s are nice because you don't need to come back during a specified window.

Even if you don't see/get the email, the "anytime-ness" of that FP+ is linked to your band.

That's pretty cool. I bet that most people don't know about this, so they wouldn't find out unless they happen to be checking their email.

Unless you have already tapped your bands the second time and merged with the stand by line. At least that was our case on Sunday, and all we got was a "sorry" from the ride operator. He said the system considered our FP used at that point, even though we never made it on the ride. We were actually supposed to be the next to load the ride when it shut down due to lightning. I considered going to guest services to see if there was anything they could do for us, but the line was long and I figured it was silly to wait in a long line to get a FP to avoid waiting in a ride line.

Guest Services would have probably issued you one of the anytime FPs as well. That seemed to be their answer to any of our complaints this past trip. (Agent P phone froze and the people at the kiosk said it had "been happening" in France lately with the new phones and they could not fix it- my DH went to GS and poof! we had an anytime FP...)

Really? I can't believe they didn't give you a FP+ for guest recovery. We were on the stairs at TSM when they did a full e-stop and dumped the queue. We were given a FP that allowed us to come back to TSM any time later that day or for for the following week. I can't believe they didn't do something for you. I probably wouldn't have gone to GR, but would have mentioned it to a CM manning the kiosks.

When a ride closes due to weather or maintenance, they stick a CM or two right at the front gate to guard the rope... (and talk to / inform guests). This worked fine when Kali went down. They told us our FPs would convert to any-any passes if it was still closed thru the duration of our FP window. They also pulled CMs over with their iPads to help ppl switch them to something else if they didn't want to wait out the window for the FP to be missed and converted. We decided just to wait it out and the ride reopened in time so we rode. Bottom line is I think they handle it pretty well when FPs are missed.

Real bummer tho about once you've merged w the standard line. Not sure what they can do there, tho I'm guessing if you find a CM on a pad somewhere they could pull up your FPs and see what you had and set you up w something else. But really they have a hard judgement call there cuz they can't let ppl abuse it... i.e. those that just rode could equally go to the same person and request it -- There's no way to tell who rode and who did not.
