Were your tapstyles not working? or was there a hold up with guests? That’s a long delay. I’d be mad too. That’s so frustrating.

Stayed to the right again today. Felt like it took longer to get from the ticket booths to the tapstiles vs Saturday. Tapped in about 6:40-6:45. Boarding group 41.

Those kind of disparities can just be a matter of one or two parties in front of you having trouble operating the tapstiles. Very frustrating.

Hey friends (as much as I’ve been reading this thread, I feel like we’re practically family now)! I’ve been studying this thread since the ride opened in anticipation for my trip to DHS today. Here are my times below.

5:50 AM snoozed alarm because yesterday was long (2:45 AM to 11:30 PM )
6:35 AM in bus line at All Mov.
6:46 AM realized there wasn’t a bus in sight and the line for the buses was only getting longer (aka more competition).
6:47 AM abandoned my original bus plan and ordered a Lyft
6:51 AM Lyft rider picked us up.
7:04 AM dropped off at DHS
7:11 AM through bag check and tapped in, scored BG 92 for later this afternoon.

THANK YOU to everyone who has been keeping this thread active with their experiences. It helped me tremendously! My strategy was to go as far right as possible (thanks to previous posters) for bag check (literally no one was in line to the absolute far right lane) and tap into the park. Worked like a charm! I have a very happy Star Wars fan with me this AM. Also: try to pick a line without strollers and kids because they tend to slow you down if you’re on a mission for the Resistance.

EDIT: wanted to add, Ive had 0 problems reading up on this thread until I got to WDW yesterday. This AM wasn’t able to read anything on this site without pop ups appearing on Safari. I downloaded an ad pop up blocker this morning after I got to the park and so far no more pop ups!

Yes. That’s why I prefer not to rope drop at all these days. You can get there super early and still be one of the last in, if you pick the wrong line. It can be stressful.

And with the VQ this is magnified. In a matter of minutes, you can go from a morning boarding pass to an evening boarding pass if there’s a slow down in line.

Question...It sounds like if u get a boarding pass but the ride breaks down and u dont get to ride it, they give u a fp ticket to come back and ride it later. What happens if it breaks down and u dont get a chance to ride that day and u dont have park hopper tickets and u dont have anymore days at HS? Do they give u a 1 day ticket for HS or upgrade ur remaining tickets to hopper. Has anyone experience this and if so, what were the results?

If you’re talking about someone mentioning the stormtroopers, I hardly think you can call that a spoiler when a photo of that portion of the ride has been widely used for publicity and is very hard to avoid. I think it’s helpful to know what point they evacuated from.

Actually I was talking about something else entirely . . . but I don't want to say what that is, thereby creating another spoiler!

That is frustrating and crazy how just being in the "wrong" line can make such a difference. I truly hope you have an enjoyable day though! Sending you some good vibes!

We tapped in at 7:10 on a last minute choice to try for a late one today got 105. The backup boarding groups are open. We were heading back to the hotel but a Riviera bus pulled up so we decided to check it out.

Repeat of Saturday am. 520 left BWV walked to security at 5:34. 630 open a bit slower to get in park. Had to wait 1 min for all folks to get recognized as in the park. BG 33 vs 30 from Saturday.happy and clear weather today. A couple line jumpers near entrance got flagged and sent back by CMs
