Do we know what the highest group is today?

Someone in our DVC Fan Group said 102... Not sure why my previous post was deleted since The DIS runs DVCFan.

Here’s the story so far today:
5:10am - Lyft from AKL
5:25am - Arrived at Hollywood Studios
6:36am - Park Opens
6:44am - Boarding Group Obtained (Group 24)
7:09am - Boarding through Group 10
7:35am - Boarding through Group 20
8:14am - Boarding Group Called
8:15am - In queue.
8:27am - Reports of ride down... characters and snacks going through the queue.
8:51am - All boarding groups distributed for the day.

Sorry if this was already answered. Do you have to stay in DHS as you wait for your boarding group to be called or can you park hop to Epcot or go back to your hotel?

That would be about 30 more than yesterday then. I wonder if they did that because they have fewer recovery FPs to accommodate today.

I remember reading way back in this thread something about ROTR was not running at full capacity yesterday. Perhaps, Disney thinks they can handle more ?

Yes it’s definitely not running at full capacity. I was just trying to measure today vs. the previous days. Opening day went up to 154, yesterday was 91, today seems to be over 100.

You can park hop, or go to your resort or hit mcdonalds if you want. Once you are in, you are in.

So far I definitely get the impression that it is running about 50% capacity most of the time.
Given the low wait times at other rides it seems like either the park still isn't terribly busy, OR with the total added capacity of TSL, Millenium Falcon and Rise of the Resistance has achieved the goal accommodating more guests.

Yeah they aren’t near the operating capacity they want to be yet. It will be a work in progress for some time.

And if all guests in the MDX account or combined-linked MDX account aren’t in the park, a Guest Experience CM can assist in joining a BG for the ones in the park.

Can you please clarify this? Our MDE account is under my DH's name. Under this account, he manages me, our two kids, and our daughter's boyfriend. Typically, if my kids go into a park without us, they just log into my DH's account and book fast passes.

Will this work with boarding groups? My daughter and her boyfriend are going to DHS without us, so we won't be in the park. Will they be able to log into my DH's MDE account and book a boarding group for just the two of them? Or will they need CM assistance?

you can go anywhere, but once your group is called you have only 2 hours to come back and go to the ride

There have been revisions to BG joining over the last 2 days.

Have your DD attempt to join a BG as soon as they enter Studios. If unsuccessful, they need to go to a Guest Experience kiosk.

Interesting that they let people further back stay in line, yet evacuated others off like us that had not yet boarded the ride. I wonder if the hangar is the cutoff.

I thought it was really funny the way they lead us off. They came in our cell and told us it was our lucky day, we would not be being interrogated at this time. But we could come back and be interrogated later haha.

So far it’s been 2-3 hours from the time they start letting people into the park.

On day 1, my husband and I were able to join a boarding group through the app on my dad's account. He was not in the park. It could have changed since then. No worries though, as getting a boarding group through Guest Experience was very fast and easy. My mother's ticket was not linked, and they just tapped the ticket on their little tablet and told her her group number.
