Has the dining rotation you get always been found out when you are the ship and not before hand? I remember when it was printed on our room cards. Someone told me that’s not the case and you will know in advance, of course they have never been on a DCL cruise.

No longer printed on room cards. It will be available in the DCL Navigator app once you've connected to the ships WiFi either in the terminal or on-board.

That’s what I thought, we didn’t check ours on the wish until we got to the room and got settled. To me it doesn’t really matter the rotation, but someone i know wants to go on the treasure and they don’t want to be in marvel for formal night with a tux/evening gown. I tried to give them options/scenarios of different things they might be able to do. Suggestions??

I think you can always call in and request a rotation starting with X. It's not guaranteed though.

As @sponica noted, they can have a request noted on their reservation to be in a certain dining room on formal night (1923 would be best choice).

Once they can connect to the ships wifi and check their rotation, they can go to the dining change location on-board and ask for it to be changed if they don't like what they were assigned.

That was one of my suggestions. Maybe if you are stuck in marvel maybe not go the tux/evening gown route and do suit/dress. Of course you don’t know till you’re on the ship with your luggage, I always bring lots of options so I’m not stuck. I am well aware the dress code is not enforced in the MDRs, I’ve seen many in shorts and T-shirt’s on formal night. I’m not trying to start a debate on what people wear.
Another thought was try to get a reservation for the $$$$$ restaurants when on board.

You can call and request a particular dining rotation. We have done this when we had Palo booked so there was a particular dining room/menu we wanted to skip and while it's not guaranteed, they do try and accommodate you.

Thanks for the replies. I will be stalking this site when the treasure starts sailing to see if anyone posts the rotations, that will give me more information to share.

If you are in concierge you can select your rotation prior to your cruise. I called and they gave me the three available rotations. It was a big help to be able to plan formal night and the adults restaurants. Just throwing this out there in case someone is thinking concierge.

I would expect them to be like the standard fantasy 7 night rotations… so 1231231 where your second night in 1 is pirate night. I know there’s some variations on that too. But that’s the most common I believe.
