Inspired by the Friends Trivia. My boyfriend and I have this on going argument about who was wrong in the Rachel/Ross "we were on a break" argument.

So who was wrong? I really would like you to answer, not "I see both sides, blah, blah, blah" you have to pick. Whose side would you be on? Ross or Rachel's?

MY Answer: Rachel's

I'm a guy, have to stuck up for Ross.

Don't even remember what happened since I have not seen the show in a couple years. Now that dd's are old enough to have a clue whats going on, that show is on too early. But Ross is a guy so he has to be right!

Even though its fictional, look at it from his prospective. He was in love with the girl since he was in high school. He finally had here and then the broke up. He was so heartbroken he went to a bar and got DRUNK. Some floozy gave him some attention and the combination of being drunk and being alone set in....plus........................THEY WERE ON A BREAK

I side with Ross too. After all they were on a break!!

They were on a break. ;) It was even Rachael's idea to do so. :p Ross is right.

DH and I have this "argument" (jokingly) as well. We broke up for a 48 hour period and in that time he kissed some chick. I always give him a hard time and he always says "We were on a breaaaaak". LOL

I can see both sides...they WERE indeed on a break but if it was just a *break* why sleep with someone else?

If I were Rachel, Ross would have been history. Sorry, "on a break" doesn't mean you get drunk and sleep with the first girl you pick up in a bar.

Then again, Ross has always annoyed me so perhaps that has some influence on my decision. :p

I always sided with Ross on this one; a break is a break. You can't have it both ways.

Ross.

Wow, did I really say that? I agree with a man? This can't be right LOL

Well in this case I kind of did side with Ross because she clearly said 'let's take a break'. However, I can see why she would be upset by his actions.

I hope next week they end up together though :teeth:

They were on a break-so I would have to say Ross is in the right...technically.

BUT-what kind of scum would actually do that? So even though he is right, he is still wrong.

You know what makes me mad?
Next weeks show is 2 hours long-but the first hour is just a fluff show looking back though the years. I know some of you might care, but I am a die hard Friends fan (pathetic I know), I know all there is to know about Friends and would much rather see the story line be a little more in depth rather then glossed over for a frills peice. JMHO.

I have to side with Rachel. A "break" is not the same thing as "I want to break up and not ever see you again." She said they would talk later. If you love someone how can you go out and sleep with someone else the very same day, no matter how hurt you are??? It's just not right. Now, I do think she carried it too far and should have forgiven him. :)

I would say Ross was technically right. A break is a break.

However, it was a crappy thing to do ::yes:: .

Is the finale next week?

Rachel is right!! A Break isn't completly breaking up forever !

Like Snoops said if it was me Ross would have been gone.

Rachel was right. Just because they were on a break doesn't mean that Ross should've slept with someone. That's one thing that has always bugged me....how can you be totally in love with someone and then sleep with someone else? Maybe it is a girl thing.

Sorry, to bring this back up, but I could not let Rachel go out on top! They were on a break! You can't have it both ways...trust me, I've been with plenty girls who've tried...it ALWAYS ends bad. Ross was right.

I side with Ross...she said she wanted to take a break...he was heartbroken, got drunk and made a stupid decision. He was dumb, dumb, dumb but he was right; they WERE on a break!
