Did anyone watch this on Monday - am just watching it now on Sky+, after watching his programme on Kenyan gangs

I know we all have our own trials and tribulations, and there are some posts on here at the moment that really make you value your family and your health, however this is one of the most shocking things I have ever seen.

I am not a big one for giving to charities, but watching these poor children has made me really think about how lucky I and my family are to be happy and safe and loved.

My cheque's in the post as there is nothing else I can do to help them.

I watched it - it was gobsmacking seeing them give their toddlers a bottle of glue to sniff. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

The thing for me was how desperate they must be do give the glue to the kids- the kids say the glue stops them from feeling hungry.

I deal with some pretty nasty people/things on a daily basis at work, (it takes a lot to shock/upset me) but I have to say that I felt physically sick watching how these children have to live.

When asked they all said that if they could do anything they wanted to they all said they wanted go to school - makes you wonder about all the layabout kids we have in this country (not that they are all like that.. just the nightmare ones!)

I know what you mean - I felt horrified when I saw it.

A few years ago my husband and I went on a safari in Tanzania and when our vehicle stopped (the driver was showing us a dead snake in the middle of the road and telling us how it could kill a human) in a little village in the middle of nowhere. Within seconds all these children, approx 25, ran up to us and were begging for pens and pencils so they could go to school. :sad2:

It made me cry, we had one pen on us and I couldn't give it to one child and not the others so when we returned from our trip I sent a box full of notepads, pens & pencils out to a village in Tanzania. I always give to the various charities that help african children at least once a year as I will never forget the way I felt that day. :guilty:
