Rosie O'Donnell to replace Meredith Vieira on the View!!!

I'm sorry if this is a duplicate post. I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

Rosie O'Donnell has been named to replace Meredith Vieira on The View!

I think it's a horrible replacement and a big mistake. I used to love the Rosie show but then she got so policitical and started to rub me the wrong way.

What do you think?

Rosie O'Donnell and Joy Behar together every day? Elisabeth should just tender her resignation now and they can rename the show to "The Rosie O'Donnell View."

Barbara MUST be getting senile.

I guess it could have been worse. They could have chosen Kathie Lee Gifford.

In any case, I won't be watching.

After Rosie's lawsuit and Broadway flop, she must need to build up her bank account. I can't imagine any other reason for her to take this job. It's a train wreck waiting to happen.

I personally would love to see Rosie take on Star.

I can't see putting anyone on with as strong a personality as Rosie and she is so used to being the host of a show, I just see her trying to take over. Not a pretty picture.

I really want to watch! I think adding Rosie is an explosive idea. I just hope Rosie doesn't punch anyone! But, if she does I don't want to miss it. I guess it is time to get Tivo.
Also--the only view member that I currently like is Joy. So adding Rosie, who I like, is a big step in the right direction.

I liked her on her own show- she just has too much of an agenda now, I think. Don't know how she will be on there.

Meredith replacing Katie was a bad idea as well.......

I am not a Rosie fan at all. Rosie as a placement for Meredith is such a bad idea at every level. I heaed that they wanted Patricia Heaton, to bad that didn't work out as she would have been a better choice.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Rosie O'Donnell is expected to be named co-host of ABC's daytime talk show "The View," replacing "Today"-bound Meredith Vieira, sources said.

ABC is expected to make the announcement Friday. A representative for the show couldn't be reached late Thursday.

Vieira is set to take over from Katie Couric as co-host of NBC's "Today" in September. Couric is leaving "Today" next month to join "CBS Evening News" as anchor/managing editor.

O'Donnell will join other "View" regulars Star Jones Reynolds, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

O'Donnell is no stranger to daytime talk. She won six Daytime Emmys for best talk show host for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," which aired in syndication from 1997-2002.

The news that O'Donnell will be joining "The View" was first reported on syndicated newsmagazine "Extra's" Web site.
