Rosie and Donald - please explain

I have no idea what the issue is (don´t live in the US). However I keep seing referrals to their "battle" on CNN and would like to know what it´s all about. Anyone care to explain?

There was this big scandal regarding Miss. Teen USA and drinking. Donald gave her a second chance and didn't take her crown away. Rosie disagreed with said decision and mocked Trump on The View. Donald retaliated by saying nasty stuff about Rosie, including, and I quote "Rosie is a loser. Rosie has been a loser for a long time." (That part, by the way, is my favorite part because he says it so seriously.). Trump is threatening to sue Rosie for mocking him on national television.

You know, Rosie does have a point that the Donald does keep a woman for a few years then upgrades to a more youthful "model" (Ivana to Marla to Malania). And, she's right that he's no moral compass. However, she's one to talk. It's not like she's the queen of morality.

However, this has gone too far and has become increasingly ridiculous. I'm tired of both of them and they've definitely worn out the welcome on this battle of nitwits.

You left out one of the MAJOR issues that really got the Donald angry. She said that he had filed bankruptcy several times. Donald Trump has never filed personal bankruptcy and that is actually what infuriated him. ABC's lawyers ramped up and organized a retraction.

Trump then went on every show he could to bad mouth Rosie. He just can't seem to let it go. And while on these shows he was very rude to the host. I think he wears the crown as "King Loser".

I, for one, was just thrilled that I saw it! For every other 'View' scandal, I didn't actually see it happen. I'm living this one up for the mere fact that I saw the spark of it!

Wow! I can understand why that would make him mad. Although he does seem to have been very rude.

Actually this is wrong. He was GOING TO take her crown away when Rosie made her comments. She said the girl should be given another chance hence the 'moral compass' remarks. It was sometime after these remarks (same day, next day, not sure) that DT held a press conference just to say he was going to let her keep the crown.

A couple of his business interest have filed for reorganization bankruptcy but never him personally. I understand that he absolutely goes after anyone who attacks his reputation in a slanderous way. He isn't my favorite person but Rosie is VILE and so I am in his corner.

His Casino(s)(Not sure how many he has) in Atalantic City have had to file Bankruptcy on more than one occasion. Since he owns the casinos you can say in a round about way he filed for bankruptcy.

Rosie just said he filed for bankruptcy---He took it as a personal affront because while he personally had never filed for bankruptcy he has had a few companies go under for which it was filed for.

It goes along with the lawsuit he filed a few years back because he was referred to as a millionaire and not a billionaire.

Exactly if anyone person can be associated with his business it is him---HE is the one who needs his name plastered all over everything he does.Kind of hard not to say he filed for bankruptcy when TRUMP casinos filed for bankruptcy.
