It was bearable, and they will do whatever you ask to make it more comfortable. If something is wrong, tell them, and they will do whatever you request to appease you. Several people got there entire stay comped, upgraded to a suite, free meals, etc. For me it was harder as I wasn't just there for fun, but for work. And without phone or internet it was impossible. Also check your bill at check out, many people had things charged to their room they did not order, or do. For example i have 15.00 in local phone calls I never placed. I am sure you wont HATE it. You'll spend most your time in Disney. As far as sleeping, and showering, they do provide that well. :rotfl2:

I hope you are having a great time!Let us know when you get back!

Hello everyone. Just back. The hotel must have done alot in a week to get thier act together. The hotel was beautiful. Check in was a little turbulent. My check card kept getting declined. They had no working atm in the lobby so, my son, and I had to trek to the golf shop part of hotel. I paid for the room with cash, incidentals, I paid also with cash. I ran to take the last shuttle the hotel provided for free to universal without checking into my room. Since the last shuttle was to come at 11:30, well the shuttle never showed until 12:30. The shuttle guy was very nice however, and I didnt have the heart to report him. The next three days, the shuttle was always late for pick up from hotel anywhere from 30-50 minutes. I was losing patience the last day, and the hotel sent a taxi to take us. I do have to say that on trips back which was at 6:50p.m. The shuttle was not more than 10 -15 minutes late. Usually, not more than 10. Well, after returning back to the hotel after day one in the parks. The guy that took my bags, told me to go to the front desk, for they had changed my room obviously someone was already occupied in the room they had assigned me. Why didnt they know this I will never know. But for some reason, I was maintaining the attitude, as see most things as an oversight so, i forgave this. Ok, now I go up to the front desk and they tell me i am on the 14th floor now, my bags have beern delivered. Well, i was nervous to finally see the room, for I have heard such negatives. Well, it was beautiful, two big fluffy beds, nice fluffy pillows, flat screen tv, chaise chair, beautiful decorations, the bathroom was small, but efficient. Two things that I found. Two paint spots were not finished. Ok, an oversight. My coffee pot and cups were used and not clean. The maids had taken the dirty cups, turned them upside down and put them back on the holders. How disgusting, and the sink counter was not the cleanest. I scrubbed everything touchable with clorox wipes anyway but left the cups for the maid. I would discuss this with the front desk in the morning. Ok, I am not a coffee drinker, but this is the principal. So, I informed the front desk the next morning. They assured me someone would be sent right away. Noone ever came. In fact, the cups were still nasty on check out day. I informed them. They said oh sorry. I am pretty much sorry, I left a 8 dollar tip everyday for these so called maids. I think I will push the issue though, ask for some type of discount. Other than this. The hotel was pretty amazing. I am easy to please, It had a haagen daz ice cream shop, mostly everything you could want was there.Shops, bars, food, etc. The pools looked amazing even though i never used them. If I had a choice to stay here again. I would, if the price was right. Well, I hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the report, faindrops. Pleased to hear your stay was good - sounds as though you have the right attitude. We're just staying 2 nights at the end of an 18 day trip (9 nights at the fabulous Reunion Resort, 7 nights at the BoardWalk Villas and then the 2 at Rosen Shingle Creek), so we'll be taking it all in our stride.

Have you got any photos to share?

Glad to see everything turned out your way!!!!!!!!!!! :wizard: :wizard:

Had a wonderful trip ! My girl's did most of the work and all went smooth! My shoulder was a different story .....We ended staying at disney and had a ball.Hit the water park movie and sing along and most important to my dd my wife took her to build a bear..... :confused3 dad did not want to go shopping..........must be a girl thing........... :guilty:

Our stay was last weekend and it seems that all the teething problems have been ironed out. We had a wonderful stay and it's a stunning resort. Not quite up to the standard of the Ritz-Carlton at Grande Lakes, IMHO, but beautiful nonetheless. The check-in guy was ultra friendly and welcoming. Valet not so much, but efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed Bella Casa and the Bella Bar. We were disappointed with the Golf Clubhouse - a vacuous and unispiring space with harsh lighting.
