I am looking for some advice. When we travel to I Drive we tend to stay in QI Plaza. This year we fancy a change and are looking at staying at the Rosen Plaza. I have read Trip adviser and it seems to be a good hotel. Has anyone stayed here and if so can you tell me:
1) what it was like and
2) how far it is from Tony Romas and Don Pablos.

After a hard day at the parks we like to chill in the restaurants and have a few beers.

Many thanks for any advice.

Martin who organises, Donna who spends and John 8 who is the project manager.

Virgin put us up at the Rosen Plaza, for one night, several years ago when we were delayed :)

I think I'm in the minority when I say we didn't really like it :confused3
The hotel, itself, was fine but there were several business conferences going on at the time and some of the business folk were complaining about the kids playing around the pool :sad2:

Eve was 6 and there were only a few children - none of whom were being particularly loud and unruly.........I probably wouldn't stay there given the choice :)

I have read the same when we were looking for a hotel in 2005, it does put up alot of conference staff and some who feel as though kids should not be allowed to enjoy themselves on their holidays...

We've stayed at the QIPlaza and - before kids so not really any help to you - we went to their nightclub for a couple of nights out and had a couple of really good nights!! I know a lot of convention people get in, but don't know what they are generally like.
Tony Roma's is doable on foot - but will take 20/25 mins. You could always get the ITrolley. Also we are going to try Bahama Breeze this year which isn't as far up as TR's on the other side of road - just a thought for you

hi,

we stayed at this hotel last trip as we normally split between disney and idrive..

what a letdown

hotel was full of conference people who had no regard for others(pushing and shoving)

the room was a smoking room although we asked to change but just a smoke dehumidifier was used which made the smoke worse.

long ques at coffee shop at certain times

we were given plastic glasses at the bar as restaurant guests must have glasses.

hotel staff were rude and not helpful

sorry to be a bearer of bad news but its what we found...but it is on a itrolley stop.

we would stay anytime at the castle doubletree a fab hotel and opposite tony romas

hope this helped

We stayed both at the Plaza and the sister hotel the Rosen Center , but many years ago.

To be honest we liked it, though we prefer the 'Center' to be honest.

It was possibly due to the timing of our stay, Pointe Orlando had just opened opposite when it was in it's prime with FAO Schwarz and many other stores that unfortunatley closed down since.
With Joshua just a young baby we have some great memories of our time there many captured on Camcorder. :)

Yes, both Rosen's are conference hotels - to be honest you do stand out a bit as 'tourists', though in a strange way we liked that and to be honest we were extremely well looked after. You certainly won't find many 'Brits' in Union Jack shorts here!
In addition the location on the quieter, nicer end of I drive is also a plus point.

The pool at the 'Center' is brilliant, restuarants are nice - especially for breakfast (and if you have to have some milk warmed up!), and there was a Deli open 24 hours.

Conference yes, and if that puts anyone off I can understand that but....they are both in my opinion nice hotels and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
