Rosel's trip Day 1 7/4 Fireworks at Poly and Whispering Canyon

Lori- 36 year old wife
Jonathan- 12 year old son
Brooke- 9 year old daughter

We left Nashville airport at 10:15 a.m. and arrived in
Orlando at 1:00 eastern time. We got our rental car
and headed straight for Disney. It was a fairly hot day,
but nothing too bad (about 90 deg.)
We had some time to kill before our check in at the
Contemporary so we stopped at Fantasia Gardens at
did the putt putt golf. We then headed over to the Contemporary and check in. I requested a complimentary upgrade to the Tower and was told there
were none available. I was given an upgrade to a water
view in the North Wing, however.
After resting up a while we headed over to Whispering
Canyons for our 6:10 ps. We love this restaraunt as being from TN., we are very fond of BBQ and smoked meats.
Next, we went back to the Contemporary and caught
the monorail over to the Polynesian for the fireworks show. We got a nice seat out on the Polynesian beach
and enjoyed the fireworks very much. We were not checked for hotel ID as some had been concerned about.
After the fireworks we headed back to our hotel and
called it a night.

I loved Whispering Canyon too. Hedda Lettuce was our server and boy was she funny! It was nice that you got an upgrade. Thanks for posting.
