Has anyone stayed or looked at the Rose Garden Suites at the Boardwalk? We are getting married and honeymooning at WDW and I wanted to surprise my fiance with a stay in the Rose Garden Suites. She saw them online and loved them, and I checked reservations and they have them available for our dates. I just don't know if it is worth spending almost $700 a night on a hotel room. They do offer concierge, but I don't know if I would take full advantage of the service. Help!!! Does anyone have any other suggestions, I'm also looking at the Poly and GF.

The garden suites are wonderful. Both times we've stayed at BWI we've stayed in them (engagement and wedding). They are 2 floors. The selling point to me was the huge jacuzzi tub, huge walk in shower and king bed. I prefer room #1205 since it has a balcony as oppose to the patio we had in #1203.

The concierge staff is fantastic, even though it's a bit of a walk to the lounge since you have to go outside and then back inside to get there, they have great offerings and planning services.

Polynesian concierge has fantastic views and staff but they do not have king beds, jacuzzi's or even a hot tub at any of the pools.

We haven't stayed in the main building at GF so I can't comment on their honeymoon rooms but I've heard the jacuzzi tubs in them are much smaller than the ones in the garden suites.

I am attest to how amazing those rooms are!! DF and I stayed in one for 2 weeks last summer, and we didn't want to leave. It was like having an absolutely amazing apartment, right in the middle of Epcot and MGM. The tub, so peaceful.... and DF loved the shower. It almost killed him to have to come home to our little rinky-dink one.... :rotfl2:

The concierge, too, is great. So helpful, especially with ADRs and what-not. We loved being able to run up, grab a quick bagel, fruit, and juice and heading out the door. It sure does spoil you.

As for whether or not the $$ is worth it, that is up to you. If you want a HUGE room, an even bigger tub to soak in after a long day in the parks :cloud9: , and the peacefulness of the surrounding, then, yes, it is worth it. But if you are on a strict budget, then probably not.

We stayed in #1207, a room with a private balcony. Byt the way, there are only 3 rooms with the balcony, (1205-1207) and the rest are lofts.

Hope the helps.... :wave2:

My husband and I were married in Disney and were given a complimentary stay in the Garden Suite as one of our wedding gifts from the Disney staff. We absolutely adored our room-I'm not sure of the number, but I know it had a heart shaped garden. It was very romantic, but my husband and I both agreed after staying there that the room was not worth the full price. We've stayed in the 2BR villas and they are so much more spacious-for less money! We were also more impressed with the bathrooms in the 1 BR and 2 BR villas than the one in the suite. The selling point of the Garden Suite is the beautiful garden out front.

I do have to say, though, that if your FI has her heart set on staying there (the way I did) you should stay there at least 1 or 2 nights. That way she gets to experience it and not wonder what it was like. Afterwards, your money will be definitely better spent elsewhere, IMHO.

Just wanted to give you my 2 cents. Best of luck with your wedding and all your plans!
