Curious if anyone has been to the R&C dining room recently (last month or so) and gotten the fish & chips? If you have, have you found out what fish is used?

I remember it used to be cod; haven't eaten there since 2019, but seeing recent photos on Yelp, Tripadvisor etc., it looks to be different and maybe more like the fish served at Yorkshire. Have an ADR for later this week.

We were there in mid-October and I had the fish & chips. I asked the CM, and she said it was hake. Quite tasty, and prepared perfectly. Would definitely have it again.

This was also notable, especially the Tullamore Dew.

Had in October, was very good but I didn't ask what fish it was. Menu does not say.
