We are trying to make a decision. Never been to either so looking for all of your input... Thanks in advance. :thumbsup2

We have been to both and MUCH prefer Chefs de France. No one was thrilled with their meal at Rose & Crown.

My son and husband really loved Chef de France but I can't compare it to Rose and Crown. The night we were scheduled to visit France, I was having an exhaustion melt down that evening so only had water and a bite of the ice cream puffs (very good) so I can't tell you about the food first hand but both my 13 year old and hsuband liked everything they had and they are not very adventurous eaters. The tables were very close, the closest we have experienced at any of the sit downs.

I'd pick anyplace over Chefs. We had our most disappointing WDW meal there. Dessert & Cheese are good there tho.

Chefs de France is one of the best restaurants at WDW. The food is spectacular. They even can elevate a simple ham and cheese sandwich to "cuisine." The service is fair to middling, as you'd expect from French expatriots and interns, but the overall dining experience is excellent.

Rose and Crown is good -- I love the English curry -- but it isn't in the same league as Chefs de France. Rose and Crown really is a pub, in the truest sense of the word, while Chefs de France is a fine restaurant. They're both good for what they are, but that just means that Chefs de France is better, since it tries to be better.
