Ok....I have ADR's for Rose & Crown this October. I was excited due to time for the fireworks, etc....BUT when I showed my family the menu on allearsnet all I got was a big YUCK. Now I got to looking at the lunch menu and it had burgers and grilled chicken on them which they will all eat. Does anyone know if you can order from the lunch menu at suppertime? I sure hope so but am not holding out much hope for this. My DH himself will probably want the burger compared to the other options. Please share :).

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say I'm about 98% sure that you cannot order from the lunch menu at dinner. Sorry.

If lunch items were available for dinner too it would be labeled "All Day Dining" like at Cap'n Jack's. They aren't prepared to serve lunch items once the menu has changed over.
I suppose anything is possible, but I wouldn't count on it.
There are so many great restaurants in WS I would look for a restaurant where the food pleases your family. Your chance of a table with a view of Illuminations is very small at R & C. And actually there are many better viewing spots around the lagoon. I would book dinner (supper) at a restaurant where your family will enjoy the food early enough to find a great viewing spot around the lagoon after dinner.

You can ask, but they will only do so if they have the ingredients available and prepared.

We eat there a lot and never tried to do that. I have no idea what they would do, but if they can, they will. They have done special things in the past - my daughter asked for a veggie plate for a lunch the day after the marathon a couple of years ago and they made it specially for her. It's a great place to eat.

I have no answer to your questions, but I have a comment...

If your family doesn't care for the menu, then I would seriously consider someplace else. There are a lot of great places to view the fireworks at Epcot without subjecting your family to a meal they won't enjoy.

Thanks for all the advice! I agree I need to look for something different. The last time we went, we ate Mexican at the stand by the water and had a great viewing area of Illuminations. After looking at R & C's menu that's what my eldest asked if we could do again instead of R & C. Guess I will save my $$ and let them eat that :).

Glad you found a solution :) I agree, the menu is very finicky looking...however, since I love fish and chips, that's what I'll order for dinner, and my son is happy with Roast Beef/Potatoes so he'll probably order that. I am hoping to watch the fireworks from there on our arrival night and managed to get a 7:45 dining reservation. I know it's not guaranteed you'll get a lagoon-side table, but I am hoping it works out for us! :thumbsup2

Just so you know, the cantina that served CS meals by the water will only serve TS meals in the evenings when it reopens. There is still a small stand next to the pyramid that serves some mexican food but not the full menu like the cantina.

According to the most recent info, there will be two restaurants in the new building, one will be a CS (Cantina de San Angel) that will operate all day, the other will be a TS (Hacienda de San Angel) only open in the evening. There's reports of Illuminations views from the TS but no info about views from the CS.

I thought it was going to be the same location, with a different name and operation at lunch vs dinner.

That's what it sounded like at first, new info appears to be that it will be two separate restaurants with different names.
