We are thinking about dining at Rose and Crown and then staying to watch Illuminations. I am just wondering if that is a good plan with two little ones (5 1/2 and 3). My kids are pretty good at restaurants, but we would have to eat at around 7:30 to time it right with the show. Normally at WDW we eat around 6 so this is later than normal for them.

So the pros are that we would have a good spot to watch Illuminations and we want to try R&C anyway. We would probably feed the kids CS first, then just get them dessert and apps at R&C. And we woudlnt' have to line up way early to see the show. But the cons are that if we eat early then just get a viewing spot along the rails, the kids are less likely to be grumpy during dinner. And we can walk around the park before the show rather than having to behave in a restaurant.

Anyone do this and have feedback? JJ

We did the same thing with my family in December. What a view! One of the launching pads is very close to the restaurant. The steak is incredible at the R&C. They will offer you a spot on their deck to watch the fireworks. It was a great dinner, probably one of the best we had while being therel.
