Has anyone been to The Rose and Crown restaurant lately, We were wondering if they have Prime Rib on their dinner menu. I didn't see it listed on the AllEarsNet site. Would appreciate any info!!!!

Thanks!!!!

Hi :wave2:

We went to The Rose And Crown for our 1st night meal in October. We weren't too inpressed. The food was just ok, probaly our most dissapointing meal at WDW. The place was full of people waiting for illuminations and when we were seated we were told there was a viewing area for people from the resturant only but even this was bursting with people.

We ate at LeCeller a few years ago much nicer and more likely to have prime rib.

Seems like we've ordered prime rib even when it wasn't on the menu. DW, and DDs are dedicated carnivores and love it. My favorite is the pie sampler. :earsboy:

We were thinking of stopping in the Pub portion for a beer (or two or three...) and some snacks off of the pub menu. Any good and what's our likelihood of finding a seat during the afternoon?

Something has "gone amiss" at the Rose & Crown. We made 6:30 p.m. priority seat resies for dinner for New Year's Eve. We had to put down $$ on our credit card to receive the priority seat resies. There were two receptionists at two podiums and complete chaos. We were told to check back at 7:15. We did. We were told the wait would be a minimum of 45 minutes -- "and frankly, that does not look good" we were told. We said forget it & stopped at Guest Relations to have the credit card charges wiped -- which they did without question. We were at WDW for five weeks (last week of December & four weeks of January). Kept looking to see what was happening at Rose & Crown. It continued to look "confused." Don't know what food they're serving. Doesn't much matter if you can't get in the place! So many better choices at Epcot -- skip Rose & Crown.

We were there in Nov for the first time. I believe my husband ate that. It was good but not great. I was not too impressed with this one. I would not eat there again, maybe just fish and chips from the counter. The food was just good. I had heard such excellent reviews, so I guess I was expecting more.

NYE is hardly the night to benchmark service with. We have eaten there many times and have had prompt seating and great service. Of course, we don't go on the busiest nights of the year.

Not just NYE we mentioned. Have you been to Rose & Crown since Jan 1 '05?

Sure have. Only eaten there once in that time frame, but have had a beer at the Beer Garden more than once. And had more than one Guinness draughts pulled from the beer stand. It is pretty much the only place we consistently stop on our walks around the World Showcase. I always look to see how busy the restaurant is and how the seating appears. I guess it is because I am trying to see how they are responding to patio table requests. Since it is such a topic here and an obvious draw to the restaurant, I pay attention.
