We have 8 pm reservation at Ross and Crown. How do we increase our chances of getting a good table for illuminations viewing?

You can ask when you check in, but be aware that is pretty much what everyone wants. And they no longer let you wait for a table to open up, you must take the one they have available for you. They do have a fireworks viewing section, if you don't get a view from your table.

8PM is late for an Illuminations View. Request at checkin. Hope.
All you can do

I’m always reminded of the time I went there with my mother. We had a 7 pm reservation and were Seated outside. The hostess was were very adamant that we would not be able to stay through the fireworks And explained that to us at least three times as we were seated. ( note. it’s been a while so I’m not sure exactly what time our reservation wise )

Apparently they failed to tell our waiter this information because it was the slowest service I’ve ever had at a Disney restaurant and at 9 o’clock we were still there because he had not managed to get two appetizers and two entrées on the table in 2 hours. And we did not try to strech the meal out, we would have been willing to get up and go watch the show from someplace else. We understood what she had told us when we sat down. But I’m sure the people waiting on a table so they could watch the fireworks with the 730 seating or eight seating we’re not really happy
