I had a quick question about the rose and crown.

The night we plan on dining at the rose and crown is friday oct 28th. Illuminations is at 10pm. I was able to get a 7:55pm dinner reservation

My ? is, is that the latest dining time available? I was just curious if all reservations between 8-10pm are booked or if 5 to 8 is the latest available time to have a reservation?

Illuminations is never at 10 PM. The latest they show it is 9:30 in December while the Candlelight Processional is presented. All other nights it is at 9 PM.

The DISInfo park hours page for October 28 shows Illuminations at 9 PM.

on the walt disney world park hours. it says a 10pm illuminations show time. I'm thinking it may be 10 pm because of food and wine festival.

There have been problems with Disney's website being incorrect. There are other sites showing the time at 9. I recall Epcot closing earlier on Fridays for some time, but never later, and they have never moved Illuminations to 10 at any time during the past 11 years of the food and wine festival. It's only been done at times other than 9 or 9:30 on occasions like the 4th of July and New Years Eve. If they are closing at 10 at the end of October it's totally new.

I am actually hopeful that illuminations is at 9pm, I would rather that considering our dinner reservations is for 7:55pm.

I really hope the walt disney world site hours are correct as a whole planned a whole weeks trip based on their websites posted hours.

huh. I didn't know Illuminations wasn't moved back to 10 pm because of F&W--that was my assumption too. The WDW calendar is showing that time for Sat. Oct 22 as well. :confused3

The monthly calendar on the Disney site shows 10 PM closing at Epcot on every Saturday in October, except October 1, and the first two Saturdays in November. If it's true, it's entirely new and I certainly can't say how the restaurants will handle it. Maybe it is a reaction to the extraordinarily high crowds at the Festival on Saturdays. They've certainly never done that before.

the month view has closing at 10pm for every saturday in october except the 1st weekend.

I tend to lean towards believing a 10 pm closing esp since the crowds last year were so big on the weekend at food and wine were pretty large.

as far as the actual time of illumination goes, if the parkk is going to close at 10pm then I would think illumination would be at park closing...but at this point its so far out i guess we wont be 100 percent sure until the date draws closer

also the breakdown on 10/28 does say a 10pm illumination: copied from wdw site

You beat me to editing the post. I was looking at the wrong month. The calendar has 10 PM closing for October and November every Saturday night of the festival with the exception of October 1. Because it is almost every Saturday night of the Festival it is possibly not a mistake. What I can't tell is what it might mean for restaurant reservations because this has never been done before. Therefore there really isn't any way to answer your question. Don't know if the restaurants will extend reservation hours to match or not.

I removed the quote in the post above as the post quoted was edited and it might have been confusing.

Checked on the "unpopular" restaurants (Nine Dragons, Biergarten and Marrakesh) and the latest they have reservations on October 28 is 8:55. So it is likely they will not have any reservations past 9 at any of the Epcot restaurants at this time, and if R&C had any between 8 and 9, they have been booked already.
