Rose and Crown question....

Please tell me that people who are inside and go outside during Illuminations, are not so inconsiderate as to stand in front of the folks still seated outside and eating!

We will be there the beginning of December and I was hoping to be seated outside at Rose and Crown, now rethinking this as do you think it will be too cold to sit outside?

Is it possible to eat dinner inside and perhaps have coffee outside closer to the showing of Illuminations.

Hi Maggie! R&C has the outside dining area enclosed with removable canvas/plastic walls during the cooler months. They also had outside heating lamps burning near most of the tables. to keep you comfortable. We had a great time there in 12/03.

There is little hope of dining inside and going outside to have coffee afterwards and be able to enjoy Illuminations. We were told that if we were seated inside that we would not be allowed to go into the outside dining area except to pass through on our way out of the restaurant. The area was quite cramped with the tables and the heating lamps, but it did not detract from our enjoyment of the meal. Happy planning! Maggie

Do I need to make a reservation to sit outside and have dinner and watch Illuminations?

If yes, what time should I make it for and do I need to request a certain table?

We've done this the last 3-4 times we've gone to WDW and I usually try for a 7:45pm res., but will accept an 8:00pm. Do you have kids?? I have 3 young ones and we did a 7:30pm res. the first time and found we had to sit just a little too long before Illuminations started.

They don't let you request a table when you make the res., but when you arrive at the podium to let them know you are there, tell them you would like to sit outside if possible. They have always been able to accomodate us, but then again, we usually go in Nov when it is less crowded. Good luck!
