Has anyone been here recently? I made reservation in Dec there for the Candlelight procession. How is the the food? I have never been here to eat.

We ate there last August and are going back this year..........my 15 year old DD actually requested this location, she loves the bangers and mash (sp?)! To me it is something different....not my favorite, but then again I love the Sci Fi! To each his own!!!!! Have a Great time!

I love Rose and Crown, we have to eat here every trip. It is especially wonderful if you can sit outdoors and watch Illuminations while you eat. I really love the steak and fish, they used to have steak and yorkshire pudding but they don't have that anymore, but if you go you must try the potato leek soup, it is great and the sticky toffee pudding, it is so so good.

This is on my list to try and get reservations for in May of next year. (Yeah, I know, but I only have 9 months to plan!) The bangers and mash sounds AWESOME and right up my alley. (So do the beer flights)

If you are interested in eating here for dinner and watching Illuminations I would try to make your reservation for 8pm or as close to that as possible, and tell them at the podium that you would like to sit outside. They have always been very accomodating for us. Enjoy!

That's exactly what I want to do. Thanks for the advice!!!!

DH and I eat there almost every trip (last time in May, I believe) and we both like the food. They have a great vegetarian dish for me and DH likes to get the steak and prawns without the prawns. :)

Thanks for the answers, Im really looking forward to going. Also going to Chef Mickey's for the first time.
