Can anyone tell me about this place? Are there regular tables to sit at, or just a bar? Do they take ADRs or is it a drop in? I was thinking this might be a good place to grab lunch while in Epcot, something more low key than R&C. Any info would be appreciated. JJ

Yes they take ADRs and yes there are regular tables, the restaurant is separate from the bar. The patio is an excellent place from which to watch Illuminations while enjoying dessert. :goodvibes

It is a really awesome place to eat at night and watch Illuminations! Especially on the 4th of July. They have regular tables outside, and inside. They also have a bar. I would reccomend making Adr's, but depending on what size your party is you might get lucky for walk ins. Another place that is really good is the hibatchi (spelling?) grill in Japan, that is really good food. Also mexico has good food! Hope this helps!

I don't think my original question was clear (or else maybe I am not understanding the responses). I am asking about the Rose and Crown Pub, not the actual restaurant. Deb's site lists it with a separate menu and it looks like lighter fare (well, probably not actual lighter, but more bar food).

I'll be by myself most likely so I am looking for something more casual than the regular restaurant to sit and grab lunch or maybe dinner. But I am wondering if it actually has tables and a place to eat, or if it just a bar with stools. And I am curious about the food.

Thanks!

there are a few tables in the pub (not sure if there are bar stools)- i believe they do take ARs for the pub - it does get busy

I ate solo at the R&C restaurant in April and have an AR there again in Nov. Asked for an outside table.
Had the Ploughmans lunch (deli meat, cheese, etc) and will order it again

If you request seating on the patio with your ADR in order to view Illuminations, will they honor your request or would it just be luck of the draw as to who gets seated there and who doesn't? Any recommendations for what time to make reservations for in hopes of getting seated on the patio for Illuminations? Thanks from someone who would love to view from there! pixiedust: :worship: :worship: party: :jumping2: :jumping2: :Pinkbounc pluto: :sulley: :sulley: :hmghost: :smickey: :daisy: :daisy:

I think most people from the pub section take their drinks/snacks outside to the small tables along the walkway in front of the pub. I don't remember a lot of seating inside for the pub section.

There are a very few tables along the windows as you enter the bar area and there are no bar stools at the bar. They don't take Res for the bar seating and the menu is the same as the other seating areas.
You can normally get a table for lunch without a Res depending on when you go but I've always mangaed to get in.

The Pub itself is in the front and is usually pretty crowded because it's so small. Allearsnet lists a seperate menu from 2005, so I would guess this is still in effect. There are no barstools and only a few tables, and as far as I know the pub itself does not take ADR's. The Yorkshire Co. Fish Shop is attached and a good place to grab some fish n chips. We'll grab a Guinness from the pub and some fish from next door then eat at one of the tables down by the water. As far as just "grabbing" lunch at the pub, it's doable, but you need to be able to snag a table...not an easy feat.
