Hi everyone!!!!
I Can either dine at Il Mulino at 6:00pm or Rose and Crown at 7:15pm. Illuminations will be at 10:00pm this night. We are a party of 6 adults and we want to see Illuminations. Which is better? Is 7:15pm too early? I was hoping that if it took 2 hours to eat that maybe we can see the show from the restaurant. Would anyone know if we can still see the show if we finish eating an hour before it starts? Also, is there even a place to see it if we are dinning inside? If we go to Il Mulino we can walk over to Epcot after we eat and look for a spot to watch the show. My DH and I are taking family members who have never been to Disney. Which place has better food?

Thanks everyone !!!!

It won't take you that long to eat at R&C, maybe around 90 minutes at best. To hang around for an hour just to have a good seat and see the show is not something I would recommend, nor would it be kind to the server who's expecting to seat another group at that table.

Either you want pub grub or good Italian food. Either meal will be complete long before Illuminations begins and good viewing areas can be found anywhere around the lagoon. Just pick whichever cuisine appeals to you the most, and enjoy the show. :goodvibes

Thanks!!! I would never hold up a table with people waiting. I just did not know if there is a place to see the show from the restaurant if we finish before 10:00pm. My DH thought that it would never take more than 2 hours to eat even with 6 people.
Is the food any good at Rose and Crown? I love the fish and chips from the place next door but have never had anything else from there. The menu at both places looks great.
Thanks

I think the food at Rose & Crown is good but it's not remotely in the same league as Il Mulino. Il Mulino has better food and service and a more adult atmosphere. They also have an excellent wine selection.

Exactly!

Il Mulino is fabulous! Always one of our favorite and best meals of the trip. The walk along the way through the IG is lovely.

Only 25-30 % of the tables at R&C will have a view. The will let you hang out with no hard feelings until Illuminations but it is kind of boring.

I vote for a much better meal, lovely walk and then watching from the bridge. Unless you have small children unable to see, I've had easy viewing from 3-4 rows back.

Thanks everyone !!!!!
I am going to cancel Rose and Crown and go with Il Mulino. We would rather have a better adult meal with great service plus the menu looks amazing. We will have plenty of time to walk over to Epcot and get a good spot (love the idea of the bridge). I love coming to these boards for great information.

thanks again !!!!

There is absolutely no comparison when it comes to the food. Il Mulino is a high quality meal. The R&C, while nice for the atmosphere, can't hold a candle to Il Mulino.

This would have been my suggestion - I do feel you made the right choice!
