Rose and Crown for a drink

Is it possible to stop in Rose and Crown for just a drink say around 2pm on a monday without a PS or is it too crowded?

I don't think it will be a problem. DH and I went in on a Monday at about 7 pm, which I would think would be busier than Monday afternoon (but again I am not sure) and we got a tbale that had just been cleared. as we sat, a few more tables became available.

You can also stand around the main bar..there are no bar stools there.

Have fun, we really enjoyed ourselves there!

Anyone gotton in just for a drink to watch the fireworks, or is that asking to much!!

You can go and get a drink anytime at the bar. They also serve bar fare there (its a appetizer sort of menu). It does get crowded inside the bar area when it is really hot out or if it is raining. You can ask for "to go" cups so you can take your drink outside. Last time we were there (June2004), they had a stand outside serving beer and wine. You can get a AR (or PS as they used to be called) and hopefully get a spot on the patio to watch illuminations. The cast members have always been polite and service has always been good. We go multiple times during a stay and we have never had a bad experience. It has always been one of the best!

The way the restaurant is set up I don't think you'd be able to get a beer at the main bar, stay inside, and see the fireworks. The walk up bar runs across the front of the restaurant while the dining room is in the back and then I think there is a patio close to the water. I would think the way the roof is even if you were sitting inside unless you were close the the back windows you couldn't see the fireworks. But I agree with the other poster it wouldn't hurt to ask if you can get a patio seat. We love rose & crown though and it has become one of our regular stops!
